Hearing implants in 2020 left ear, in 2021 surgery in the right ear. So because prostate cancer went to 80/20 in 2015/16, I was told by a VA employee file again you should be 100% as a Vietnam veteran. Here is a word medical - Demyelination. Please look it up. My nervous system is damaged by AO getting worse by the month by the year, and I will poke the bear. Plus, I refiled for PTSD and was denied 22.5 years ago ten years of therapy - poke the bear. Agent Orange tremors may be a sign of Parkinson's Disease. I am scheduled for an examination on July 28th; a C&P examination Internet on July 12th, for PTSD. It did end up getting worse a couple years later, forcing them to changing it back, but, yea, they did reduce mine because it stayed the same. Thomas, if you've been seeing a counselor for the condition and have not worked in a while and the VA can verify that, I say go for it. But if you're still working and have not gone to counseling, your claim will most likely be rejected and you risk your existing 80% rating if it's not static.

You didn't mention the additional problem of veterans rated for conditions secondary to tinnitus (like insomnia, migraines, depression ....). Without the primary rating, there can be no secondary. A reevaluation could result in a catastrophic trickle-down effect if tinnitus is removed.

She claimed that she had been sexually harassed in the military and it traumatized her. Since she started work at our company, she has accused two male workers of sexual harassment. It seems like she uses it as a defense mechanism whenever she is accused of substandard performance. My question is this: is MST a permanent disability? She is the second female I have met who claims to have MST. Regarding physical disabilities, there is nothing wrong with either of them.

If you've had it that long for a physical injury then you are fine. 98% of the people being reduced are for the most part idiots who do stupid things or get greedy and file thin claims even though they are already at 100%. I don't know any vets in my area who have legit in-service physical disabilities or actual combat PTSD who have been reduced. How do I claim SSDI if I am permanent and totally disabled?
@TheDonna19592 жыл бұрын
Contact social security & apply for SSDI. Be aware the VA rules for disability are different than social security. While the VA rates in percentages (10%, 20%, 30%, etc). Social Security is cut & dry. Either you are disabled or you are not! Each case is unique & individual. Do not be surprised you may be denied 1-2 times when you apply for SSDI. If you get denied SSDI obtain an attorney. If you win your case, social security will back pay you to the original application date. SSDI is non-taxable. Veterans can collect both VA disability & SSDI at the same time if qualified.

Wrong sir, the VA can "totally" remove FOREVER a service connected disability rating, I know as this very same scenario happened to me (age 20 1967) while I was being a patient in my local VA hospital for my connection with Malaria. The doctors even had a class of interns asking me about Malaria during my 30 days in the hospital. They treated me for malaria (#3 relapse). Someone representing the VA (I think) said he would double my percentage to 60% for 12 months but after that time I would no longer be able to collect any benefits. My word was I dumb doing so as the Malaria never left my body and being sick is truly awful for me at age 75.

Because they believe there is a potentiality that your disability can improve over time and they will likely schedule you for future examinations to determine if this is true. If you can show new evidence as to why your disability will not improve or you can claim new disabilities that can be proven they won't improve over time then you can be upgraded to P&T.
