There are some technical exceptions to the general rule of 20 hours per week. You can check on the IRCC website to learn more about the exceptions. I am not sure if working online falls in the exception rules.

It’s generally not ok as this situation often leads to abuse of the worker and its not taxed. Unfortunately, I dont know much about taxes. Its best to seek this information from someone that knows!

Hi! From what I know, the minimum wage in Canada is around 15 CAD, and students are only allowed to work 20 hours in 1 week. That's 300 CAD in 1 week or 1,200 CAD in a month.

It just takes awhile. Either way, there are so many groups you can join for newcombers to this country. Its all about making effort to connect with people.
