Just an heads up! Rime Rounds has a 7.37% of being dropped on Rotation C of Pavlov Lua's Spy. Which means you should get one ever 13.5 runs = around 27 minutes of speedrunning (assuming you take 2 minutes). To be 95% sure of getting at least one Rime Rounds though in N tries though, you need to do some other calculations. The short answer is that you need to do around 40 runs to be 95% sure of getting at least one Rime Rounds, which is around 1h and 20 minutes for 30pl. The thing is that Rime Rounds is a very rare mod and it's used a lot. It only drops from Rotation C of Spies and it has higher drop chance on Pavlov. It's unlikely that its price will drop. Farming it is time consuming, and it's not something like Aya that you can do in relatively short time for low income. My calculation is also confidence-based to be the least dependent on luck and variance. If you spend a lot of time farming it you should get an amount of Rime Rounds more similiar to its expected value of 1 in 13.5 runs. For the long term, this is way more profitable than Aya if you only look at expected values. Aya will also kinda drop in price once the Ember unvault will end and go back to 3pl with less buyers.

@@thehaqo My intention was to just give another point of view to farming in general, most people look at the chance and think you should get X drop in N number of times which usually leads to frustration. IMO it's better for our sanity to treat our time as an investment and use strategies that are involved with investments that need to be as safe as possible, thus using the 90/95% confidence calculations. Everytime you drop a Rime Rounds before 40 runs you'll be happy because it took less than expected, rather than cursing because of bad luck over 13 tries!

@@1PurpleFox it's probability and statistics, you basically need to study a bit or just educate yourself about those concepts to understand them and recognize when and where to use them. ChatGPT and other tools are great for asking the right questions and get your results. Anyway, you basically want to calculate the N tries you need in order to be X% confident about getting a success. Rime Rounds has a 7.37% chance of dropping each Rotation C, 1 out of 13.5. That's the expected value but of course you're not getting a success every 13.5 tries, there are things to keep in mind like variance ecc. This is valid for all things, even for a coin flip. I want to be 95% sure that I get a successful event, which is obtaining Rime Rounds. How many tries do I need in order to reach that level of confidence? There's a formula for it: N = [log(1-X)] / [log(1-p)] Where X is the confidence level (95% in my example) and p is the probability of success of that event. You have to write them as decimals, X = 0.95 and p = 0.0737 If you solve this you get 39.1307 which I just wrote as 40. Some comments I would like to add: 1) confidence levels are usually 90%, 95% and 99%. The higher the confidence level, the wider the difference. 99% is VERY safe but overkill for this kind of stuff, in fact it's used for extremely critical stuff like surgery and even more important stuff. 95% is usually used for crucial investments where you just have to go safe, maybe your resources are scarce or pricy and you're not okay with taking any risk. 90% is for stuff you don't really want to take risks for, but you're okay if you fail because you have time and resources. This should be Warframe actually, and if you're curious about the 90% for Rime Rounds it's actually n = 30. 2) If you attempt to calculate for 100% you will always get n = infinite. Because you can't be 100% sure of an event that is not sure to happen, and log(1-1) = log (0) = infinite 3) I like to apply a rule of thumb for quick maths. For probabilities of 20% and above you can just double the amount of tries and be 95% confident you get your success. 20% is ⅕, so you just do 10 tries and you should be almost sure to get your success. For probabilities between 10% and 20% you can double the attempts to be 90% sure, or triple them for 95% and you should get similiar but unaccurate results. For probabilities between 6.67% and 10% you can triple the tries for your 90%. From there it can be very unaccurate, even though if you triple Rime Rounds' 7.37% -> 1/13.5 you get 40.5 which is close to the 39 you get with the exact formula for 95%.

Not to be a ehm bad person, but doing spy missions is way easier with ivara (who can walk trough laser) and then put the rank 3 helminth ability on her called: Perspicacity which will give 100% hack auto solve ability. Yours is probably faster but this one (specially when you do not know the spy levels so well) be easier for players.

It's a 7.37% chance drop from rot C meaning on average you'll get 1 in 14 runs. each run is around 2 min so about 2 mods per hour. That's like 50 plat an hour which is terrible

You can use the Oloro MOA with the Security Override precept mod. Once equipped, the MOA will automatically head to the terminal and hack it for you. Just make sure you have that mod installed, and you're good to go!
