Good points Mike. You can also start buying at local whole sale auctions. They can be hard to find sometimes but they are out there. I once turned around a clean out of a storage unit into $4,000 in just 3 -4 days. Get to know your local folk who are buying and selling in bulk. You always must be realistic on pricing. I always price the stuff I sell at wholesale so I can quickly turn bulk items around.

Love all your videos! So inspiring, it seems that all your experiences in life has brought you to where you should really be. Just like how you said you did not get a teaching job then you went back to eBay and now youre doing so well there. I was in college 13 years ago when I first learned about eBay here in the Philippines. I had time in between classes and I would go online, it was new for us so it was a bit scary but then I learned how to sell and I would only post pictures of the items then would grab them after my customer paid then quickly ship the same day... our eBay back then required bank deposits not Paypal :-) anyway I could buy things for 50 and sell them for 500.... a normal person made 500 pesos a day and I was making 10,000-25,000 per day. Well too bad now that theres so much competition now that we could only make 10-20% so for me I cant survive on that anymore. Im going back to the US soon and cant wait to sell on eBay and Amazon at least. By the way, I just bought a Starbucks card collection with over 10,000 cards from 2006-2019... I did not have the $1000 to pay for it. I had recently met a new customer who spent at least $300 buying cards from me that I also bought from other collectors. I asked this lady if she would invest on the cards and we could split the profits... hopefully we sell them all it can easily make us $5000. I was selling Pokemon merchandise just recently buying from merchants in China but got banned from the FB page I was selling to because someone reported me as a Pokemon Go player spoofer :-) Life really does work in mysterious ways. And since youre such a nice guy, helping your mom, your friend, all of us with your knowledge about reselling.... God is blessing you with so much. I hope I can have the same luck as I had before. Im so excited, I can hardly wait... but while waiting Im trying to learn as much as I can. Thanks for all the videos that you do.

guys i also used to do so well in selling and ofcourse guys like mike cannot tell us what to sell or what he sells--- or where to get stuff but think about it, what do we need to buy everyday or every week? start there.... what do people always need or want? but then its hard to have your own brand, too much capital and its so hard to be known in a world with so many name brands.... also so many risks and expenses to get sources from china... I think I would start with garage sales, thrift shops, retail arbitrage...
