I realized that the method of encountering Regigigas is like the "Urban Legends" methods that people will start up as rumors back in the good ol days of pokemon. If you told this method to someone back then, they WOULD believe you and spend DAYS possibly WEEKS to get the method to work. I think the reasoning behind why it revolves around Regice is because alot of the time Regigigas is surrounded by ice. Gen 4 you find him in Snowpoint Temple. In Gen 5 you find him in Twist Mountain near the freezing stone. He is always "frozen" in place, ey?

If you use the O-Power for capturing before battle, it raises your chances as well. Also, giving it a status condition like paralysis but more effectively sleeping will help. It does hurt to have good balls either.

To all those who can't access legendaries such as the 3 emotion Pokemon (Uxie,azelf, and mespirit) also Regigigas if you do happen to move your clock it will disable clock events until you beat the elite 4 again! WARNING I didn't know that the elite 4 got a level boost by 30 levels they were all in the 70s (I was slightly unprepared but I had rayquaza cuz I had just finished the delta episode but I managed to get by) until then clock events won't seemed to work I waited about 2 days and got bored so I challenged the elite 4 and that seemed to work! I hope this helps!!

A really good trick for taking down and catching legendaries is to get an aron (or any pokemon with sturdy that can learn endeavor) MAKE SURE IT IS LOW LEVEL give it endeavor, and right when the battle starts, use endeavor so then the legendary is at 1HP, and use another pokemon to put it to sleep or paralyze it. Caught Regigas in 5 turns

Weird those these requirements are I think I understand. Regigigas was originally native to Sinnoh, a cold region. While Hoenn is obviously a tropical one. That's why you encounter in Regice's cave with said Regice holding something cold. I don't have an explanation for the nicknaming requirement though, and needing the time to be daylight. Maybe it was to reference that the only to get Regi-G in the Sinnoh games was to transfer over the three original Regis and the fact that t was ALWAYS daytime in the Gen 3 games due to not having a day/night cycle.

If they require you to have a nicknamed Regice holding a cold item, I would have taken it a step further to also require: A nicknamed Regirock holding some item that is a rock or stone (Hard Stone, Leaf Stone, Damp Rock, Armor Fossil, Stone Plate, etc.) A nicknamed Registeel holding an item made of metal (Metal Coat, Star Piece, Iron Ball, Iron Plate, etc.)

to increase catch rate there's this thing called o-power so if you click on playnav go to player search system then when there press on that bit next to the wi-fi symbol and go to the page the GTS is on and you'll see an option called O-power go on that and you have lots of power ups click on increase catch rate and you have the option of give or use click on use and you'll get capture lvl 1 if you want a higher catch rate click it again you can only do it twice every 3 to 4 hours and It lasts for around 2 minutes so you've got to get into the wild battle quickly, hope this helped, If you want more info just ask 😃 (Sorry I'm 3 years late 😂)

I believe that you need the ones specifically caught in ORAS... At least worked for me after I caught them, the game didn't seem to recognize foreign ones!

Even if you get the 3 Regi's through Pokemon Bank, you STILL have to unlock the 3 caves and catch the original ones for you in the game. The only way you can give Regice a nickname and get the girl in pacifiglod town to tell you the story. Just figured this out. So therefore you'll have SIX Regi's; and 3 to possibly trade
