For all of the people complaining that he used his master ball once he got groudon to yellow, he did this because he had one Pokemon left which was sceptile, having a weakness to primal groudon. He probably did not want to have to do that again, so to prevent risks, he used his master ball.

DISCLAMER: What I'm about to type is my own opinion. I am not saying GameXplain makes bad videos, this is just my thoughts on the video. I also thank in advance to whoever takes the time to read this comment. Again, this is my opinion, it is NOT to be taken as "hating" on this channel. Thank you, and happy catching! WOW, they did so many things wrong! I can make a list! In fact... 1. You get more than one shot to catch the primal pokemon. I felt horrible for killing the legendary, and was hopeing that it came back after beating the game. Sure enough, after beating the E4 and going back to the area of the fight, there it was, ready for battle! 2. They didn't even mention Lugia and Ho-oh being in different places! Ho-oh is on the tip of the ship like it shows, Lugia, however, is near the area where you found the scanner, at the control pads. 3. No showing what-so-ever of exactly what path to take on the river to the "Regi unlock cave". You can easily slip up on the way to the dive section, causing you to have to start over. This part of getting the tiro is hard enough, this just makes it worse by saying "Ride the correct set of currents". 4. You don't need to read the brail text at the back and left of the cave. All you need to do is read the text at the back and meet the requirement. 5. While they did say it before, at the cave where they are used, they do not mention "First comes relacanth last comes wailord". 6. Why would you mention the girl that gives you a hint if your making a VIDEO for all to see about it. 6.5. No mention of the girl that sells you a CastelleiaCone in Mallvile's second floor. 7. For Mespirt, you don't need a pokemon at max happiness, for Azelf you only need one, and for Uxie you need three. 7.5. No specific time is needed to catch the lake tiro. I got Azelf and Mespirit around the same time (after waiting the 12 hours of course). 8. The legendary trio of Unova is not on a day encounter cycle. I failed to catch Virision, and restarted, and when I battled again, this time it was Cobilion. If any tiro, this is the tiro that's time based. 9. They don't show this "Narled Den", nor the fact that you can get the DNA splicers using the dowsing machine in the cave you catch Kyrum in. 10. (This isn't an issue, I just thought it was funny.) After the mention of Cresselia I soar in the air and find the island and catch it first try! XD

***** While I don't exactly know which pokemon have max happiness (I just chose three that I had fully evolved through the game) I can be sure that Darkrai and Shaymin won't appear as catchable legendaries, as unlike Cresselia, those two are event legends. It's probably the same reason you won't be able to get Manaphy, Victini, Meloetta, Jiraichi, Genesect or any other event legendary since they were acquired through events.

No hate taken, but I'll try to explain myself. 1. I had no idea this was a thing beyond Rayquaza. I grew up with Pokémon at a time where if you killed them, that's it. You're done. The legendary can no longer be caught. So it's ingrained in me not to fail, especially since I had the intention of creating this guide. I did not want to experiment at failing a capture in case it locked me out forever with no way of showing footage. 2. I only have Omega Ruby. I would need to get Alpha Sapphire and dedicate another 30-40 hours to get to this point and show off the alternate place that it could appear. I also respect that people are smart enough to search the entire ship for a Mirage Spot. 3. That is a slight failing on my part since it did take me multiple tries to get to the right section. However, once I flew to Route 133 and took that path, I felt once again that people would be smart enough to emulate my path. 4. This is my first time ever in attempting to catch the Regi trio so I had no idea what was and wasn't necessary. So rather than not have it trigger for some unknown reason, I decided to tell people my exact process for unlocking their appearance whether it's needed or not. 5. I really didn't feel the need to repeat myself since Relicanth and Wailord should already be in their correct positions if you follow the guide. Not sure why this is a problem for you. 6. This is related to point 4. I wasn't sure if talking to her also triggered Regigas as it took me hours of trial and error just to make him appear that one time. So I wanted to cover my bases. 6.5 Lack of knowledge on my part on where the CasteliaCone was sold. But I did say that as long as you have ANY Ice-improving item, you would be fine. 7. I have not seen that anywhere so I can't confirm that in any way. But since you need three Pokémon at max happiness anyway to catch them all, what's the problem in telling people just to get three right away? Especially when all three are required to catch other Pokémon. 7.5 Again, lack of knowledge on my part but trust me when I say that I went back there multiple times and the next wouldn't appear right away. These are the times that worked for me. 8. Sorry if I'm repeating myself, but I'm only relaying the tactics that worked for me. Like the other trio, I went back one after the other at multiple times during a day and they didn't appear. The weekday seemed to matter more as the one I wanted to catch immediately appeared. 9. This is because of point 2. I only have Omega Ruby and therefore no way to catch both Reshiram and Zekrom in the same game. So I had to settle on showing the general area that the Gnarled Den will appear. 10. You, and so many others in these comments, are so lucky. Cresselia still hasn't shown up for me. Again, no offense taken but there are reasons I showed things the way I did. And as long as this can help people find the Legendaries, I'm satisfied with it. ~Derrick

I had to do the same thing... Literally used 40+ ultra balls, and prob 20 others, and the entire time I was spamming potions, revives when he rested, and using shit like Storm Throw to get him low... But he had just 1 of my pokemon left(Mega Swampert) with around 50 hp, I had no revives left, and he had a sliver of hp left so I said "Fuck it" and used the Masterball.

Caught Groudon after: 5 premieres, 15 ultras, 20 greats, and 6 or 7 pokeballs thrown in for fun. I was running low, on all and had the flying legendary, Latios tanking, who was doing great, flying above his ground moves. I stabilized and was curing the burn and using moomoo milk for hp. Groudon had run out of "rest" and was low on hp so I was just rotating b/t my remaining balls, while, debating if I was going to restart the game or use the masterball when he stuck in a pokeball!! hahh!

Man I still remember when I first discovered the regi trio. I was 11 and I had to figure that shit out by myself. It took months to find out that text was Braille. Then I actually painstakingly translated the text one by one to find the message. To my surprise, there were 3 brand spanking new Pokémon I’ve never heard of in my life. Looking back, young me was pretty clever but why didn’t I think to simply fuckin google what all this crap was about lol

This is the whole fun of the game you're doing it right. The harder the puzzle the more satisfying the solution. I played all the Pokemon games before ORAS like that, just following walkthroughs and let's plays... I didn't even have confidence to pick my own 6 Pokemon to fight with so I'd pick what people recommend. I finished all those games but none of them felt satisfying in the end. ORAS is the only game I went into blind and I'm glad I did.

owlflame The reason for mirage spots is likely due to the unreleased Hoopa. Based upon the theater poster for the next movie, I suspect it'll be released with that movie. The reason for the mirage spots is that basically Hoopa is transporting them from their region to Hoenn. Read Hoopa's pokedex entries and I bet you'll think it's a pretty solid theory.

Helpful tip that I never knew about until seeing it first hand is if you're trying to catch one of those time based legendary pokemon like the lake trio, if you go into the cave and get the dialogue, as long as you don't leave the cave or island you got the dialogue from then they won't disappear when the time runs out. You can just save when you get there and challenge that legendary anytime and if you just leave and return to the location at a different time or day you can get the other time based legendaries. Something I wished I knew sooner that I didn't have to rush and think if I don't catch it by today or this hour I'll have to wait again. Just make sure to save after getting the text hinting at their appearance

I was very lucky with Cresselia. The island with it was there for days in my game. I can't remember how many, but it was at least 5 days in a row. I didn't even know about it back then. It was only when i googled legendary pokemon locations i found out about it and went catching it before it was gone. In the guide i found before this one, i didn't see that it's about luck, so when you said that, i thought you were wrong, but i double checked and you were right. But i don't understand that the mirrageisland were there for me that long. But besides that, thank you for this lovely guide

I've always loved how, since Gen 6, the secondary game of the Gen has provided a way to get all remaining legends available in that Gen through the gimmick related to a legendary pokemon Gen 6: all remaining legends can be found by Hoopa's wormholes Gen 7: Legendaries can be found in Ultra space, a dimension related to Solgaleo, Lunala and the ultra beasts Gen 8: Pokemin can be found in raid dens through Max raid adventures
