I had heard before that residency through home ownership you couldn't be out of the country more than 30 days each year but maybe that was the old rules for temporary residency. So with the new rules if you gain residency through home ownership you can be gone up to 90 days each year is this correct?

IT IS an issue to renew the residency, is a hell of paperwork in police and also that small company he is talking about is gonna cost you minimum 2000eur in year taxes. You need also to stay at least 10 months living here permanently and maintain this for 5 years, without skipping 1 day late from the renovation, you lose all the time and have to start again from 0

A couple of points. With the company formation, the reapplication processes has become quite cumbersome. You will need to have all of the same documents as when you originally applied including new apostilled criminal check from your home country. Also, you need to pay a monthly account fee and taxes on your pay. For me this was about 220€ each month.
@deivybueno99592 ай бұрын

@@RJ-Isaac-TSOML What is the monthly account fee for? What account? And are you also paying taxes in your home country as well?
@RJ-Isaac-TSOML2 ай бұрын
@DanaerysMOD Accountant fee. The accountant processes the payments for taxes and salary payments for the company. As a US citizen, I'm taxed globally. There are some benefits that I can take advantage of but I still have to pay about 15% to the U.S. I'm leaving Montenegro in a couple months but if I was going to stay I would have applied for the new Nomad visa.
@RJ-Isaac-TSOML2 ай бұрын
@DanaerysMOD And since the question of why usually follows here are a few points. 1) Price are increasing: there was a recent minimum wage increase when there is already high unemployment. This is going to result in prices going up. 2) Mafia: The mafia has become more active over the past year or so, or at least I'm noticing it more. There is no violence but racketeering seems to be an increasing issue. 3) This builds off of point 2 but businesses don't survive here. I see numerous businesses open up and then go out of business or get shut down in less than a year. The amount of vacant commercial real estate is very high. 4) The cost of good education for kids is very high and unaffordable. 5) I came here hoping to see a future for the country, but the culture here and the change in policies from the government indicate this is not likely to change for the better in the near future. In the past 2 years there have been a number of policy changes to get more money out of foreigners. These were generally short sited money grabs that have failed miserably but yet the trend continues. I'm moving to El Salvador, mostly due to the time zone, but if I was to stay in this region, I would strongly look at Albania .
@DanaerysMOD2 ай бұрын
