For anyone considering using tretinoin or currently on, make sure you avoid waxing ,threading, or any face mask peels since tretinoin is increasing skin turn over and will make it very sensitive. You could literally rip off your skin if attempt to.

What you’re doing seems to be working really well for your skin. Thank you for the update beautiful 💓I know a lot of people treat Tretinoin like the devil but redness, dryness and purging are SIDE EFFECTS. I’ve also found so many people wanting to tell me what I’m doing wrong! 🙄 You’ve openly shared your mistakes and lessons learned and I really appreciate that. 💙

Thank you for watching sis. The side effects are 99.9% likely to happen which is why they let you know. When I experience them I don't get worried because I know that it's working and it's all apart of the progress. Oh yeah, they treat you like you're uneducated because you're using it without guidance from a dermatologist and it gets me really annoyed. Of course, I'll make mistakes, it's all apart of the learning process and that's how I'll be able to help others🤗 💙

I use “RETIN A” cream 0.05 it’s a type of tretinoin but it’s more powerful and can only be prescribe from a dermatologist because it can damage your skin badly but it helps with acne and wrinkles also I’m from the US and I also use a antibiotic pad for my face that’s prescribed
@OfficialTashika4 жыл бұрын
You're right Retin A cream is a type of Tretinoin. The cream is said to be less likely to irritate your skin as it works slower because of this it will also take longer to see results. It's good for dry and sensitive skin and can be used for wrinkles and fine lines too. In the UK they don't prescribe Tretinoin so we have to buy it at our own risk if we want to use it.

@mlybshr41214 жыл бұрын
so ppl with sensisitive skin should not use it and ppl with normal skin should patch test before
@OfficialTashika4 жыл бұрын
That’s because Tretinoin is an actually acne treatment and the peeling solution isn’t, it only helps to brighten and smooth the skin, which kinda makes it look clearer but as soon as you stop using it your skin will go back to normal. That’s true but physical sunscreen can block pores because they have a heavier consistency and it also sits on your skin and makes it look white, because it doesn’t absorb into the skin like chemical sunscreen. You should always do a patch test before using skincare products especially acids, regardless if your skin is sensitive/normal. It’s up to the individual if they choose not to they’re using it at their own risk.

U should only use tretinoin in the night. When u starting out u use it every other night as well to build up tolerance. A little goes a long way . It makes ur skin worse before it get better because it allows ur skin to purge. Do not use it in the day however u should ensure u always wear sunscreen. I too am using it because my dermatologist recommended it and I’m on my second tube ....love love love it! Also it’s something that has to be prescribed
@OfficialTashika4 жыл бұрын
That is true, I wouldn't start with the 0.1% every other night though it's way too strong. I started using it often and had to cut down, I'm using it every 3 nights now. Yes you have to get it prescribe but in the UK they don't prescribe it at the GP and these other website trick you into buying a monthly subscription and trick you saying the product only lasts for 1 month which isn't true. This way you keep buying the product monthly, that's how they make money. This is why everyone tries to buy it online.

Never dry your face with anything hun just go straight in with your moisturiser and let it dry....you get more hydration especially with the hydraulic acid in your face cream and prevent anything else touching your face. Even paper towels collects dust. Happy clear skin🧡😊🧡
@OfficialTashika4 жыл бұрын
Why are you telling me what to do? Please don’t I hate people doing that, I’m not stupid! I said I usually let my face air dry but sometimes I want my face to dry quicker, no one has time to be standing around with a wet face when they have things to do and places to be. I literally don’t do anything bad, I’m using a CLEAN paper towel, not a flannel and you’re hear telling me paper towels collects dust (I don’t have hay fever, dust is the least) and don’t dry your face with anything! There’s always someone being negative in my comments ffs - why can’t you be happy that my skin is clearing instead of looking for something to tell me not to do, I didn’t ask for that. The purpose of this video is to show you how I apply my skincare products and to help others in the process.
@zionzamani85694 жыл бұрын
Oooohh lawrd ah mercy😂 i guess you took my msg in a negative way. Maybe the word “never” triggered you (my bad should’ve used a better word) It was honestly just a suggestion as it allows more moisture on to the skin without drying your face and it literally absorbs in about 30secs. You don’t have to take my suggestion and I wasn’t trying to tell you what to do. I guess you read it that way. I’ve watched most of your videos and have nothing negative to say Happy clear skin🧡😊🧡

I get a lot of people telling me what to do and treating me like I’m stupid because I didn’t go to a “dermatologist” first and I hate it. My bad, I thought you were doing the same thing. I wouldn’t apply the Neutrogena gel-cream or the Tamanu oil straight on to my dripping wet face though, that’s why I dried it a lot with a clean paper towel and I did mention that I let my face air dry most of the time because I know people will say don’t use things on your face.

Hey, thanks for watching my videos I'm glad you found them helpful. Honestly, I can't give any advice when it comes to using acids with Tretinoin as I haven't done it and I wouldn't recommend it. It can be dangerous if you mix the wrong acids and I don't have the knowledge of which acids work well with Tretinoin and which don't. I believe Tretinoin on it's own works perfectly and you won't need any other acids so please try it on it's own first. If you really want to use acids along with it please do some research on your own and use it at your own risk.

How powerful is this product ? I heard some peels are too powerful for deeper complexions and I have a very deep complexion. FITme foundation shade is 380 “Espresso”
@OfficialTashika4 жыл бұрын
I don't know how to judge the powerfulness on a scale but I've seen a lot of brown skin black women use it and it has been fine with their complexion. There are different strengths and type e.g.: cream for sensitive and dry skin, so it shouldn't be a problem for deeper complexions. Just use a lower strength (if you can find it) and the cream form which doesn't irritate the skin as much as the gel. If not use the gel once every two weeks to start, then once a week and see how your skin reacts to it. Also, please do more research on the different types and strengths of Tretinoin

Tashika Bailey Tashika Bailey thanks for your reply ! My friend uses it too but we’re not the same complexion. An esthetician once told me certain peels may burn deeper complexions so I didn’t want to try it but I e literally tried everything 😭. Can you do a makeup application video now that you’ve been on Tretinoin for a while? Do you find wearing foundation to be troublesome?
@OfficialTashika4 жыл бұрын
I will do a makeup video soon. I only find wearing makeup troublesome if my skin is slightly peeling and on those days I try not to wear makeup. On the days when my skin isn't peeling, I wear makeup and my foundation applies smoothly and looks smooth too. It's really amazing what Tretinoin has done for my skin.

I’m about to start week 3 of tretenoin and I am PURGING LIKE HELL. Any advise to try and dry out the purging acne? It’s not my usual acne because the bumps hurt and feel a bit cystic.
@HennaSahota4 жыл бұрын
NiaRae Allen that happens when you start Tretinoin sometimes. The medicine is bringing all the acne that would have happened anyways to your skin. Keeps pushing thru it don’t give up. Also you should check out r/Tretinoin on reddit. That subreddit is a wealth of information for anyone starting Tretinoin. Good luck!

I have Oily skin and also my skin is really dry after being cleansed and wanted to know what percent of gel I should start off with and what face serum would you recommend to use with the gel.
@OfficialTashika4 жыл бұрын
Hey, I would recommend starting with the 0.05% cream not gel, it's for sensitive and dry skin. It'll irritate your skin less but it'll take longer to see results so you have to be patient and stay consistent with it. I can only recommend the products I've been using which are all in this videos, however, I've seen other KZbinrs using different products maybe check out their channel: Rachel Sheridan, Dr Dray etc and do some more research

@OfficialTashika4 жыл бұрын
Please watch the first video I have on my channel the answer is there. Is it the cream of the gel? I'm sure the 0.25% will work but it'll take longer as it's such a low concentration. You should probably do a patch test on a small area and see how your skin reacts to it.

Can i use tretinoin for black spots and old acne scars?..and what percentage...and do i use it everyday? and do i use it only on the areas or on the whole face?..does it also work for pores?
@OfficialTashika4 жыл бұрын
You can use it for acne and hyperpigmentation. Start slow with the 0.25% then move to the 0.5% if you want to take risks you can start with the 0.1% but it best to start slow so your skin can build up tolerance. How often you use it and where you use it is honestly up to you, starting slow is best so you can see how your skin reacts before you start using it everyday.

I have been battling pigmentation from sunburns. I went to see a skin doctor who prescribed a night brightening cream (forgot the name) but it is usually kept in the refrigerator. The first week my skin looked better, but after sometime it becomes way too light almost pale, red especially when in the sun, sometimes when I run or do heavy work, it turns red and when I skip a few days the areas I have been applying start to become dark again. So I stopped using it, and still battling my pigmentation and mind you I live in a country that is hot almost all year long. I have tried chemical peels, and they do not work one bit. I am thinking of trying the tretinoin

I'm on tretinoin for 1 month and 10 days now. I can use it for every other night now. Sometimes 2 days night straight and one day off. I use to cleanse my skin with just Dove soap. But I switch to double cleansing and I've notice huge difference with my skin. I also use cetaphil. It really makes a huge difference on my skin. The key is patience. If you don't have patience then tretinoin isn't for you. How do you find the Tamanu oil? Is it working?

@OfficialTashika4 жыл бұрын
Starting with the 0.25 is best so your skin can get used to it. Then work your way up to the 0.5% and 0.1%. Obviously, Tretinoin is very difficult to get so if you manage to get the 0.1% you should start using it slowly, a pea sized amount, once every 2 weeks then once a week depending on how your skin handles it. Please do your own research as well🤗
