I need some suggestions that actually work besides me camping my front porch at all hours. I have done everything including lavender plants and lavender essential oils and I still get the neighborhood cats coming to my flower bed and using it as their litter box. I am trying to do things besides slaughtering them but nothing deters them. They literally only come to my yard to use my flower bed and then leave. I am so sick of digging cat feces out every single day multiple times a day.

I spray Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with Lavender, Lemon & water in a water bottle. It works for about 7-10 days at a time.

@p215j I've tried the mixture route. I got raw lemons and cut them up. It kept the cats away for 4 days, but there were also storms in the area, so I don't know if it was the storms or the lemons. They usually stay away during storms, so that is my guess. So far, the only thing that actually worked was a bb gun, but they got smart and started coming around when I am sleeping.

The feral cats are eating the nestlings and the birds. Cats are invasive species and we need to help the local ecosystem so that the local birds can thrive. There are bluejays in my backyard and read these birds are at risk due to low population. This is the reason why we need to repel cats.

Currently dealing with this one. One of my neighbors kept feeding stray cats only to have them pooped at my front door. Endless problems with cats, I have learned to hate them and their owners. Why is it dog owners are forced to contain their pets but cat owners are allowed to let their little monsters out to murder all the wildlife and invade peoples property and defecate in their garden? Most dogs don't attack people, they are the friendliest animal towards us, so that isn't a good excuse. I just want cats away from my property, but they keep coming back causing problems.

I once was surprised in my own yard by a loose pitbull in my face! They think that if they love the animal then it will be good but that is definitely not the case. None of this worked. There’s a horde of stray cats that moved under my house, easily more then 14 of them. They my house smell like cat piss all the time because they never stop breeding. Pretty sure one of the neighbors feeds, and makes the problem much worse because it’s why they stay but I get blamed for it by all the neighbors random animals which also aggressive and bite me decided to move in under my house. Animal control does NOTHING, every time I call them!

Do the coffee grounds seem to do anything? We have no pets, but many feral cats., now Their droppings in the lawn leave tall dark spots. It's not some manicured lawn, but the tall patches look bad anyway. Do you know it fresh or used grounds work better. The lemon, lime and possible orange sounds somewhat easy too. {P.S., you could use some periods in there to make it easier to understand}

Tried multiple methods on my side and nothing marketed on the internet works, except: 1- Motion activated sprinkler 2- An aggressive dog or cat willing to defend your property 3- Skewers with the pointing end on top to protect a perticuliar place. 4- Trap and send to TNR program (not sure that will solve problem if cats are released in same area) Agressive methods (not to apply to free-roaming domestic cats and check laws in your area): 5- BB gun aiming at their legs 6- Acetominophen in cat food (will poison them)

TNR does not work. Animal Control brings them right back to the same property where they found them. These cats were climbing into my chickens' lot and killing my baby chicks and the animal control brought them right back to feast more on my chicks.

Say that when you know about every living creatures. Animals kill and eat their own kind as if it's nothing and even kill their own babies or another's just for their so called "survival". And Stray animals especially are even worse. They just come to us and never leave us alone and never leaves the place and constantly disturbs us. We don't even ask for them to come and stay in our property and might even harm your pets. They don't care and still keep coming back and get aggressive when you try to stop them. Humanity just tends to be softer because they can literally do way worse and kill them or even some psychopaths would go to the extremes and torture them but it's against the law and we need to be kind. And stray cats suffering isn't much of a problem when some kittens get killed already while birth. Just because we have limits and control ourselves and they don't doesn't mean we can have patience keeping up with their bull and tolerate them especially when they need to kill their own kind or kill and eat their own babies or others especially sneaking into someone's house and eating that poor kitten just for "survival". They don't deserve my empathy or most of the people in the comment section and that's for a reason. And this is coming from a cat lover.

@@brendashull58 you can’t leave a cat in a cat colony; it will be attacked. A house cat doesn’t know how to survive in the wild either. It will starve to death and if it lives long enough it will either be torn to shreds by a predator or other cats. It’s cruel to even consider abandoning your pet this way. You should find a no kill rescue to surrender your cat. Just do a Google search.

The feral cats are eating the nestlings and the birds. Cats are invasive species and we need to help the local ecosystem so that the local birds can thrive. There are bluejays in my backyard and read these birds are at risk due to low population. This is the reason why we need to repel cats. It is more humane to get them to the shelter, spay, or adapt them if you can.

There's a lot of cool folks in the comments here. I have three feral cats that I take care of their mom left them in my yard. Once you watch them and live life through their eyes and have compassion for them you see all the struggles they go through outdoor cats have it very rough. It would be great if y'all weren't so being human and demonic and perhaps put out some cool water in the shade for your neighborhood community critters. They have very rough lives they have problems with roundworms tapeworms they get eye infections ear infections respiratory disorders lots of things can take them off line. They need all the help they can get they are very sweet when you give them food water love and shelter and they get to know you a bit.
