Thank you teaching us about pest control! :) Maybe it would be good to put another kind of dragon fruit in between the Ecuador Palora. This way, if another pest attack them, they won't spread to the other part since they are far away! And glad that you got rid of them! :d all the best!

@@GraftingDragonFruit I mean which varieties are more suitable to be used as rootstock more than others For example: " it's not suitable to graft vietnamese white at Palora rootstock" ...but to do the opposite is the preferable option. 🤗 As I know for example we categorize 1- rootstocks : vietnamese white Golden yellow Makisupa Armando 2- Better to be grafted: palora Colombian yellow American beauty 3- Growing by itself: Haley's comet Elgrullo Trecia Lisa ...

I’d like to see a close up of the trips you’ve got hanging around your dragon fruit. A thrip the size of a half a grain of rice is massive.

Hello Richard, your dragon fruit plant is really damaged all because of the chemical fertilizers. Though chemical fertilizers are good for dragon fruit plants, but makes your plant venerable to disease. So try to use organic fertilizers like cow dunks, chicken poops, compost or any organic fertilizers. It will make your plant more strong and healthier..

These were actually mainly damage from a crazy heat wave we had last summer and I didn’t have the equipment needed at that time to protect them because the heat came out of nowhere

I am currently rooting a Palora cutting. I was told that it would be sun/heat sensitive and was planning on growing it in part shade. Do you think that characteristic is common among megalanthus? If so, do you think growing them in full sun weakens the plant inviting pests and disease?
