Ticks aren't ants. They won't come to your container. Instead spray fipronil spray all over little holes & crevices in your property. Also ticks love humid conditions.

Just get yourself some chickens. they say guinea fowl are good but they cause more problems than they solve. plain old chickens , they love ticks ants beetles. I lived on a farm in wisconsin back in 1975 and we got a dozen chickens and let em free range. You know we never saw so much as one ant, tick or beetle on the property!

An LD50 number tells you how toxic a chemical is . The lower the number the more toxic it is. Talstar Granules have an LD50 of 2000. (oral, 4000 dermal). Bifenthrin is in the 54 to 74 range. 2000 is about the same as table salt. Sometimes you need a more potent chemical but make sure you use the proper protective equipment. Talstar granules aren't labeled for ticks.

Just spray them with the same stuff you spray your pets with. Fipronil kills them on contact. Also good ol undiluted dettol works as well but it is poisonous so don't use at places where your pets might lick it. Don't use any of these on plants. Use them on your walls & little crevices.

I am trying to clear out invasive japanese honeysuckle vines they are taking over my yard after 2 years ago we had a ice storm and through all the tree branches in a pile where only raspberries grew, now honeysuckles have taken over the area. and since the honeysuckles have taken over the Ticks get on the pets all the time, so clearing out quick growing honeysuckle is hard and they have the baby ticks all in them they are the hardest to see and feel crawling on you
