Thank you! I've just lifted some nets protecting now mature brassicas from predators. Only to find white fly immediately arrived and have started to get stuck into them. I appraise this because it is so simple, and means I don;t have to put the nets back on.

It also helps if you add in a teasponn of vegetable or olive oil. It helps to keep the soap on the plant and hence the insects. The detergent blocks the exo skeleton holes on the insects and they suffocate. You need to spraty at least every three days due to the short breeding cycle of white fly. if this is not doen the eggs from the previous generatipon will hatch and the cycle repeats itself. The whire fly are a particular problem in hot houses due to the increased heat and humidity

Sticky trap sheets work well indoors. Outdoors they seem to catch more good insects than bad.

How long do you leave the detergent mixture on there and then are you supposed to rinse it after they die?

ladybugs do not eat whitefly. only aphids. If you see them on your infested plants its because you probably also had an aphid problem. Lacewings eat whitefly and there are some mite predators you can get from an organic supply house.
