You can use this ability to break ore deposits, in case you're worrying about weapon durability. Granted it was slower than using weapon, but it's an option to say the least. Gotta time it a bit perfectly tho. Fun fact : I think this ability also get affected by Atk up buff. When breaking ores with this ability, it usually took 4 hits, but when I wear full set Fierce Deity armor, it took 3 hits to break the ore. It's not much, but okay.

I wish there was more abilities like this instead of the sage's, this one is so will implemented. Imaging Riju's or Yunobo's working like this but with bows (so when no bow is equipped), Sidon's with shields and so on.

If Link can't talk, then neither can most of the NPCs in the games. It's easier and cheaper for options than it is for consistent voice acting. And Link takes his role as Zelda's knight seriously, usually knights (and/or soldiers) don't talk unless they absolutely need too. Not just that, but Zelda and Mipha has even said that Link grew less talkative and expressive since his childhood due to him becoming a knight- losing his memories brought that expression back. The players mainly pay attention to everything else in the games, not really Link's face, though some people (like you) have done otherwise.
