My shop is 9 months old. I have never used Etsy ads and I have never tried to drive external traffic to my shop. I average 20-30 visits a day and about 30 orders a month. It's all organic, with Etsy SEO. It took some time, about 2-3 months, but it has been steady ever since. I handmake all of my products. I also have a full time job. My volume of sales works perfectly for me and I didn't need to depend on it just to eat when I first started. You can certainly make a living on Etsy, but not overnight.

By far one of the most useful videos I've seen. Thank you

Step 5 would be difficult when you don't sell digital products. The video was very helpful though, I just can't offer free physical products for their loyalty.

Yeah step 5, as I say in the video, is after you get some traction and sales. You can also give a digital product as gift. For example, if you sell pillows, you can make a short ebook about sleeping better, complimenting your product. All I'm saying is that if you sell physical products, your gift doesn't necessary need to be a physical product.

I wonder if Etsy ads actually hurt a shop since it isn’t organic traffic
@NotThePurpleGuy11 ай бұрын
I don't think they hurt your shop. They just give you a boost depending on how much you spend. I feel like if you spend on ads for a long period of time, then it will be profitable for your shop because Etsy will understand the right audience for your products.

Do you need SEO on Pinterest too?
@NotThePurpleGuy11 ай бұрын
My method doesn't require seo, but if you create pins (posts) from scratch then you will need seo. The bad thing with my method is that I can't see many stats, because It's like I don't create pins at all. My advice is to do either a combination of these two methods, or just try my lazy method at least.

Thanks mate, was thinking of just copy pasting my descriptions / title from Etsy to Pinterest as another "Lazy" method
