This is a great video, I was struggling yesterday as I was shooting at F14 and wondering why more wasn't in focus. Great demo with having to go to F29 for that. Keep up the great work!

Hi Belle, thanks for watching! Are you sure you mean f/14? You should have had pretty much most of the image in focus at that aperature. I guess unless you camera was really close to your subject but even still. I went through your IG feed, some really beautiful images in there, nice work!

@@ChristopherCina Thank you so much, I think it was because I was on the 105mm Nikon Macro? Focus is a struggle for me! Thank you for checking out my work!

@@belleharris2059 Fair enough, that lens can be soft at f/14 if you are close enough. I use a 105 for 90% of my photos, brilliant lens.

In this video we look at 5 techniques for getting sharp photos every time. Nothing is more disheartening than taking a bunch of photos and getting them back top your computer only to realize they are out of focus. I've had this happen to me so I thought this might make a good topic to help people avoid this pain!

Would have been nice to illustrate where to lock the focus point using the tomato and salad picture as an example

You make a good point, I can see how that would have helped to further illustrate the progression of photos. For your info, I focused on the garlic glove just to the left of the tomato. Now ow that you mention this, I might see if I can go back in and highlight that. Thanks for watching!
