Congratulations on getting your bookkeeping certificate. Look for companies that hire virtual bookkeepers. Many local accounting firms want to hire people with experience. But companies hiring virtual bookkeepers are usually willing to train you. Also, make sure that you get certified in QuickBooks Online (it's free).

Are you referring to becoming a Certified Public Accountant? In the US that is the only license given to accountants and it is based by state. You have to pass the Certified Public Accountant examinations. If you're referring to business licenses, regulations vary by state. Bookkeepers do not have any licensing requirements in the US. You do not have to be a licensed bookkeeper or a Certified Public Accountant to get started as a bookkeeper in the US.
