Great starter video. All you need is a casual two grand for the oxygen concentrator and and kiln before you get to the fun part.

Alternative to this is a $60 setup with a small propane tank and a $20 torch to put on top of it 😂

thanks...but you need the dark glasses i heard they are VERY expensive(IDK what they meant lol so im scared),ib every small course i took, the teacher told us we NEEDED it,and they lend it to us( careful of your eyes...i say it for you.also,if anyone has advices on price or buying online)also we gotta buy the iron things, with white liquid, you know,to put the pearl around it😢(but i guess we keep them forever..just not the liquis...let's be strong and spend 💪one day we sell them😜)

The glasses are definitely NOT the most expensive part of your setup. In fact, not even close, so don’t let that stop you. Steel mandrels and bead release? You might want to buy a few books first and read up on everything before diving in.

How did you have an oxycon over ventilation??? 😂 most people use oxygen tanks (k tanks). And i dont see any ventilation in that studio... 🙄 that is not safe. The torch combustion releases carbon monoxide among many other hazardous fumes and gasses from the colored glass ..

I figured it went without saying and have a full video on ventilation and extraction coming. I’ve spoken heaps about it over on my Instagram but neglected my KZbin for a little while. Thank you for your concern though, I really appreciate it. Rest assured I have an over excessive ventilation and extraction system and have my air quality tested regularly! ❤

You absolutely can start under $1000! Thats what im doing currently. You need: 1) Sodium flare glasses to protect your eyes (amazon $70) 2) glass (I got my multi color set from hobby lobby for $17) 3) stainless steal mandrels ( set of 20 from amazon $10) 4) bead release (amazon $15) 5) glass wool (this will cool the glass slower w/o the kiln: amazon $10) 6) Torch head $20 7) Small propane tank $7 Im pretty sure thats all I'm using currently, and i believe this is a good beginner set.

Chili pepper kilns are small and cheap beginner kilns too, might push the budget over $1000, but worth it to anneal work. If you don't have a kiln, vermiculite can cool down small work safely after flame annealing properly, although this is not as reliable as a programmed kiln

I am in America. People use bottles oxygen cylinders like k tanks for welding and glassblowing. There are other applications too I am sure. Look for a welding supply store or compressed gas company and they should have them. @@Yiokalai
