It was the VoiceOver addon that slapped me out of Wrath and back into Classic. Having most of the quests voice-acted is just incredible and it keeps getting better and better for each update. I f**king love how you can just queue up the quest dialogue and just listen to it as an audio-book. The only thing missing is voice acting for all the books in the game for now.

Same. I wish that Blizzard had released TBC and WotLK as separate games back in the day rather than as expansions. The way they did it for Classic Era was perfect-those of us who only ever wanted the original Classic (vanilla) game stayed and progressed their characters (and continue to do so), and the closet-retail players left for a while to play Classic TBC and Classic WotLK. (Fortunately, it seems as though most of those folks have come back, and that’s great.)

I have been LOVING classic era. My alliance toons are on the PVE cluster and horde toons are on the PVP cluster. So many new players, too!

Can you choose pve server and still do pvp or people just do strictly pve since it's pve server?

@@stefanmadrax Yeah you can flag yourself for PVP in the open world by typing /pvp into the chat, but not many Horde will be flagged as well. However, you can always join battlegrounds for objective-based PVP. Alternatively, everyone is flagged on a PVP server so it can be mayhem.

When WOTLK has finished up, I want to see Classic Plus and so do a lot of other players. There is so much potential for Classic Plus and it gives Blizzard the chance to take the storyline in a whole different direction. I believe RuneScape did something similar.

I didn't even know you could still play pre-wotlk on official servers. It's sooo nice. My favourite period was TBC and I wasn't a fan of wotlk so I didn't see any point in playing wotlk classic. So nice it's still possible.

I really want to get into wow and always wanted to as a kid but never had a PC then. I do now but get overwhelmed by the game easily. I have no idea of any of the wow lingo or anything about the game really and I just find it too hard going in blind. It looks like so much fun tho. Many people will move to SoM2, then they will move those characters to Classic era with their other ones. The beauty of Classic era is that there is no rush, it's a forever server. You won't have to worry about you character becoming obsolete. Classic era will come back to life after every season of vanilla, so you can start a character on classic era, play SoM2, then continue that classic era character after SoM2 or whenever you want.

Hey bro just come era and dont overthink - we have at least 1 year for Blizzard to even think about som2/classic+ here is why: 1 Diablo4 is incoming 2 Wotlk is in phase2 3 main classic guy resigned recently its not that big of a deal to level on era say till level 30 and see for yourself that is kinda a fresh experience (every zone full, tons of ppl leveling, wpvp at its best around) i recommend firemaw cluster if u are eu

@@Trefort90 same here i got 30k gold in wotlk and moved everything from som there instead of era xd - starting from 0 and its fine! if you check AH you can make golds on basic stuff - like sharpening stones/ basic alchemy elixirs etc - ppl are leveling and using those like crazy

Classic era will never move to tbc. It should be a forever server, as far as we know. So any characters you make there or move there after a season of mastery will stay there forever, not to become obsolete.

After som 2, people will play classic era again, and you can continue that character whenever you want. Classic era is a forever server, you can take your time, and never worry about your character becoming obsolete. Sure population will go way down with fresh servers, but after, they will transfer their characters to classic era and play there until the next fresh.

The main problem with classic ERA is still there... The class balance. The fact that all specs are not viable is just why I can't bother to waste time on it.

Unfortunately minmax is a major problem. It's really sad because it's A 20 year old game and people are acting like their parses matter. There's a Guild that set a new speed clear for naxx and thinks they're amazing but theyve been working on this longer than naxx was out before TBC launched. They also had record for item level.

So if those people weren't minmaxing they simply wouldn't play the game because that's what they want to do. I don't think that's better. It is objectively not a problem, you just wish that everyone would play the game like you do. Devaluing other peoples experiences is even more annoying if not just rude than the minmax mentality. Edit: I didn't enjoy that so many guilds were minmaxing during Classic launch and it did alienate me too. So I know where you are coming from. But it's really a me issue I came to realize.

It's more active now than in vanilla 3 years ago it feels like. Its packed at Firemaw EU since its merged with other servers. World chat is full of boosting services
