I've purchased books and have done all my quail home work over the past 5yrs..hahaha. You dont want to rush into a project too fast.. Hahaha...im so dang complacent. Your videos are getting that fire burning inside me to get off my butt, stop thinking about it, and just do it already . I helped raise quail and game birds as a child. and it was so peaceful and fun.. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.

@@bobcat9314 sounds like you have been ready. I learn best by doing and have no fear of failing....we are all wired differently but that's my approach. If I'm not going to do it, I just put it out of mind. Go get you some quail and enjoy it. Best of luck to you!

I have found with the shoe box; I use a molded cups that go into the box. That helps and I put a 2 x 10 x 6 under the shoe box it is a little larger than the box so when they do eat what spills on the wood, they pick through it. It saves some from going throw the cage. Nice set up

Do you sell to people not located near you? If so, how much do you want to ship them, and do you have a minimum quantity?

Did you have any type of tarp on the tractor for the weather?

Yes. It covers a little over half of the tractor, and is on whenever quail are in there.

How do you get them in and out of the tractor, they will certainly run to the other end when you try :)

@@jerryhicks8011 one end has boards that we can remove. Then we have a piece of wood that is roughly the shape of the interior that we put on a pole and push them to the other end. Without that it would be a pain to get them out to harvest.

Do you have wire on the bottom of your quail tractor

@@JimGruver-s8h we have two different tractors. One is completely wrapped in 1/2 x1/2 wire, including the bottom. The other is the same wire over the frame with an open bottom. We have had possums dig under that one and if there is any slight dip where the frame sits on the ground then small quail can escape. Seems like with everything, there is no perfect design. They all have their pros and cons.

The floor is slightly slanted so the eggs just roll down.
