Okay, I have never had anyone explain that the money you cut back on in groceries can maybe be used for debt, investing, or savings... that's freaking genius and I love that!!
@AwesomeCanadianHomes Жыл бұрын
20% of $700 is 140 so $560 for example at 2:03 love the concepts. For people that are struggling don't be afraid to use your local food bank for help. That will help cut down on your food budget if you are in huge debt you're worse off than someone just out of a job with surplus savings, or someone new to the country with gov assistance help. So use your local resources until you are out of debt. Shop at goodwill etc if you need to cut back clothing for a while. Main thing is get out of debt. Give back to community services once you are able and you will be in near future : ) Good luck all.

How can anyone take budgeting advice from someone who can't even get 20% of 700, using a calculator no-less.
@siva418 Жыл бұрын
@@chadlenz7258 I thought the same thing! I did that math in my head and knew the answer before she gave the wrong one. Not that it makes me special or anything because we should ALL be able to do basic math like that in our head, but it made me question if I should be watching this video. However, she clearly knows what she's talking about in order to have the success that she has had - personally and professionally. I can overlook a mistake...but, getting it wrong with a calculator? LOL
@chadlenz7258 Жыл бұрын
@@siva418 To profit off other people who are in need of budgeting help feels like the worst kind of ick to me. She only had the success she had praying off other people to buy something, that they could have created at home with regular envelopes. That they got because they are struggling to budget their money and get ahead. The difference is none of them are selling "kits" for hundreds of dollars to pay off their debt quickly.

I recently got a big lawsuit and have been shopping for stuff I always wanted but not expensive stuff. We spend 800 on groceries a month and am soon to get a gastric sleeve surgery so I won't be eating as much as I used to so I can cut my grocery bill down to at least 300 monthly for my husband. I want to invest money too so it will grow but I don't know where to start. I'm only in debt for 7k on my new car and I did that to build credit . I don't have any other debt. I have a nice emergency fund put away as well and wanted to get some CDs but the rates aren't great. I need to follow you to view all your advice. I don't wanna go broke . 😭

Cash can really help with tracking and preventing overspending. It's physical and you have to handle it. Digital you swipe a card and that's it which for some can be done absetmindly resulting in overspending before the notice what's going on.

This works for people who have the income.. however, what about those of us whose original budget is so low income that we have 40 a week to feed SIX people? That's less than 200 a month for someone like me. I have nothing else to cut. I don't have any subscriptions. My only debts right now are the 200 left on a hospital bill, 530 left on my burial policy, and about 1500 on my new washer/dryer. I am damn near destitute after bills, rent, a few bucks on groceries, toiletries, gas, and lunch money to carry sack lunches so that I don't eat out while on the road for work (in-home healthcare). My job doesn't pay for mileage and does not give gas allowances. And don't say get another job because I'm already looking and can't find one and I'm already paying anywhere between 120 to 160 in gas. I can't afford MORE driving. Don't say get a job in town either b/c I've already looked and there's nothing. I've applied to half a million places and can't find anything in town. Not to mention that my town is a tiny hole-in-the-wall place in rural Arkansas where the next big towns are almost 30 miles away and our major cities are an hour to two hours away. No, I can't afford to move either b/c if I had that money I'd not be here telling you... I'm struggling and can't make it and can't afford groceries. I don't know what I'm going to do, to be honest. I don't give myself "beauty" allowances or "self-care" allowances or "family fun" allowances. I don't get my hair and nails done. I can't remember the last time I bought myself everyday clothing. I wear the same set of scrubs for anything I do outside of the house whether I'm working in them or just going to the store. I don't do girls night, date night, or anniversary. I don't have extra places to just "cut money"... so now what?
@mrswilliamstoyou3325 Жыл бұрын
I've noticed a lot of these people are like "low income cash stuffing" and they have like 600 dollars left after a paycheck, lol. That's another thing that drives me crazy. Where are my "I've got maybe 15 or 20 dollars" MAX left IF anything" folks at? lmbo... Edited to add my husband saying, "show me the folks who only had 78 cents left for a small apple tart for lunch today at work." :P That's all he had left on his card. He now has ZERO dollars. Guess what he gets for lunch every day now.... NOTHING. Where are few dollars or few cents people at? Someone out there has to be like us. I know we can't be the only ones.
