After Queer Eye 2, I decided that if I could have gray hair like Tan's, then perhaps I could take the plunge. I started graying in my 20s and I'd been dying my hair since the age of 14. I had been considering letting my gray grow out for at least 3 years. I showed Tan's picture to my stylist and she assured me that even if my gray did not have the great gray/dark definition of Tan's, we could fake it with low lights and techniques that make gray hair pop. While I do add a few lowlights, I was delighted to find that I love my own patterns of dark and light! I love my gray, I love the compliments I get, and I love that I can be another example to women that it's OK go gray even in one's 40s. Plus, less time and money spent at the salon! Thank you, Tan.
@womanofacertainage58925 жыл бұрын
Stopping coloring my hair about 4 years ago was the best beauty thing I've ever done. I never received compliments on my hair whilst still coloring. My hair is platinum now, long, healthy (because I stopped damaging it with color) and I get compliments often. I love it! :)

I started doing my hair like this two weeks ago... in those two weeks there have been more people (mostly women) texting me wantig to go drink coffee with me then ever before in the last 16 years (sidenote: I´m turning 16 in about 2 weeks xD) You made this young non-binary/transmaculine (still haven´t really figured it out) very, very happy! It feels like through such a simple thing like this I finally made it that people around me see me as who I really am, which s probably one of the best feelings ever! I really haven´t felt so comfortable and confident in a long time! It may look like a little thing to most people, but it is something really big for me! Thanks, Tan, you´ve changed my life for the better! also the french tuck works wonders! I do look like I´m actually not that chubby! :)

You were a great teacher of men’s styling! Even more detailed than I expected with less product use. Your natural curl is sort of a super power that you just seem to enhance and go with. I wondered if you use anything to lift or sculpt but it’s mostly brush technique.
