This is NOT a paid podcast , neither I am promoting any of her product. We had a genuine discussion , to help my audience understand from the recruiter's perspective , as she has the relevant exp.

For the last point: When you see the JD there's half a dozen of tech stack required by the company for the role. With atleast 1+ years of experience. How one can have in-depth knowledge of those half dozen of tech stack within just a year. That's overkilled that's why people tend to add more skills on the resume. When recruiters starts targetting the specific tech stack let's say 3-4 max then candidates will definitely add what they are comfortable in. It's just a demand and supply game. Recruiters demands 1 year of experience in half dozen of tech stack so the candidates add it which ends up wasting a lot of time on both the sides.

So recruiter see the keywords for the role & shortlist resume's? Or the recruiter would be having the knowledge on the technologies and based on that they shortlist resume?

I know they say they don't leverage iit or cream students ,rarely talented people from tier 3 like riddhi striver and other students who are super talented but what happens to average students , if they don't give the opportunity how one can be focused or motivated to get into faang atleast they should give the opportunity to take the first test of coding round if we are not talented we will be rejected but they directly reject.I know they have high standards everyone wants good candidate but giving an opportunity to an average help in gaining faith and hope in candidate to be in faang one day.just personal opinion not to hate anyone🙂

Yes Akshay I am not telling or justifying weak or strong, some learn at faster some learn at slower that's the difference, eventually they learn.everyone knows that but I am saying just giving opportunity to mostly one group and not to other that's the wrong thing..I am telling for that I think you didn't understand my point
