Thanks for the great bass content! Finding your channel helped me appreciate bass gear and tone at a time when I was kinda bummed out about playing bass. After years of building my dream guitar rigs I finally got to join my favorite local band...but on bass. Had to start from scratch with gear, and craft tones and basslines to fit in with 3 guitar players, and learn material from 6 albums written by 3 different bass players. I had a fantastic 96 USA P bass I picked up for $375, but the rest of my gear was pretty meh. Your channel inspired me to find and craft tones and basslines that got me excited to play bass.

Id like to see a video of how you program it. I have the Gt 1000 and it is very overwhelming. The software is very not user friendly to me compared to the Line Six products. My main frustration is how you make new patches save them and sort them. all other things are pretty straight forward. I wish the user interface was better in that aspect so i Ordered an HX stomp and a midi foot switch because of that i may sell the Boss. Not sure. And as always thanks for your great videos. You are one of the only bass guys out there doing demos of Boss Multi Effects for Bass Players so that's why id like to see more on the technical side of it. A video like that would not bore me at all. Don't be afraid to do things like that.

I’m a user of the HX Stomp, and I love it. This thing definitely goes for the throat of the Stomp in certain respects (Bluetooth, app, i/o isn’t on 3/4 of vertical sides). It’s intriguing. If Korg offered me one, I’d be VERY interested in using it and possibly jumping ship from the Stomp.

I found myself going thru a cycle for a while of wanting a bass processor so I end up researching and getting one. I play around with it at home and think its really cool but then end up using only one maybe two sounds, then I get bored with it and end up selling it. Repeat. Several times over. Finally gave up on multi-effect processors all together. But that P-bass/flip top tone you played at the end, oh my! I've never heard a digital processor sound that close to a real tube amp. And those over drive sounds didn't sound digital either. You're making me want to repeat the cycle again!!
@richsackett34234 жыл бұрын
Holy shit it sounds amazing. I've got to get one. I've used a ToneLab for 15 years on my guitar but it doesn't do much for bass. That thing smokes any Dark Glass boxes I've heard.

@mjmason75 Жыл бұрын
I haven't used the Boss GT-100o Core unit, but I love the HX Stomp for bass, but I've owned several other multiprocessors, but the Stomp as been by far the easiest to use, the most versatile, and the best sounding one that I've had. I just wish it had more processing power. Don't get me wrong, it has plenty, and you can use up to 8 unique effects at a time, but some effects require more processing which can limit you to only 7 and occasionally even 6. The only unit I think would be better is the Neural DSP QuadCortex if you have an additional $1,200 to spend above the cost of the Stomp. lol

I’m sure this gear is worth it’s almost $1k price tag, but man after I replaced my hx stomp with my B3N I’m finding it hard to pay for anything that does not give me the ability to practice and play in one unit. The ease of use in my B3N, the drums and looper to practice plus aux connection, the dedicated surprisingly good sounding bass effects. Makes it perfect for someone like who gigs 2 -3 a week and plays different genres and has multiple basses.

Trying to find out whether this baby can process both channels of a split output bass separately, e.g. Rick-O-Sound. From the parameter Guide, it looks like it's possible, if you select Dual mode, put a Divider at the start of the signal chain, and set that to Stereo. So it looks like a competitor to the Line6 HX Stomp, but more expensive at the moment.

I'm seriously looking at the Core to replace my current bass pedalboard. I use almost entirely Boss digital pedals, and every one of them is built into the GT-1000 and GT-1000Core. My main bass is a fretless StingRay with piezo and flats, and my amp is a Mesa Walkabout. My board is two vintage Boss BCB-3 boxes loaded with: TU-2 Chromatic Tuner AD-2 Acoustic Preamp BC-1X Bass Comp tc electronic Spark booster (plan to replace with Boss FB-2 Feedbacker/Booster) BB-1X Bass Driver RV-6 Reverb Buying all those pedals new would cost more than a GT-1000, and the Core costs 30% less than the full GT-1000. As it turns out, since I only ever need to switch the boost, drive, and reverb during a song, the 3 buttons on the Core are enough, and the Core would take up about 1/6the the volume of my two BCB-3 boxes.
