How To Get The RAREST Item in Rise of The Ronin

In the midnight difficulty you can acquire Masterwork Level Gear upon defeating enemies and completing missions. In the latest update, Team Ninja added two new Set bonuses : Ferocious Tiger and And Prodigious Dragon. The Prodigious dragon set has in my opinion the best bonuses since they effectively and positively change the way you play the game. From always having style advantage to reducing your opponent’s Max Ki, the set bonus is nothing short but a miracle. I am still far away from having the “best” build but those set bonuses change everything. The grind though….

I like the Rise of the Ronin content they did this game dirty and there isn't as much coverage or Info out there on this game. I'm having a lot more fun with it than dd2 or alot of other games I've played this year.

Man I’ve been giving him knots of destiny like 53 of them then receive a total of 6 drops from him with a luck 1098 & I’ve have yet to one! 😭 have been trying for almost two weeks and still no luck. Ideally a prodigious dragon bonus would be ideal for my build but I would be completely fine with one with ferocious tiger. At this point I just need one with a set piece attached to it 😭

How do you creat a veiled vow with him . I see he has four dialogue options but I can’t access any of them . I’m on midnight . I’ve played thru the story and picked all the different options? I don’t seem to be able to romace him .. we need a video or a guide on how to do that I think .. I’ve tried all his bond missions on midnight difficulty numerous times . I’ve givin him sooo many gifts I can’t get this item to drop or unlock the veiled vow for him Please help

First two upgrades on ferocious are great.. the last two are pretty underwhelming in comparison to dragon.. I mean the ki regen is pretty shit unless you’re spamming shuriken. Neutral combat gives you increased ki damage, wider counterspark window and moreINSTANT ki regen on counterspark. Seems pretty pointless to run 4 tiger over 6 dragon unless it’s for top dojo scores then you run 4,4. But ally missions are the peak of this game and it’s not even close. 6 dragon 2 tiger is the way to go.

There is an ally mission called Honnoji or something. It is that one mission where I farm bond jewels. You can fight multiple Elites enemies including Soji and Genzui. Getting to Soji isnt difficult if you go from a rooftop next to the place you spawn, making it relatively easy to farm him

How can you bond transfer accessory?

You need to first go to your longhouse or speak to any Blacksmith. You are going to need some “Bond Jewels” (A WHOLE LOT) to be able to transfer the stats to your desired Gear. Keep in mind that the gear you are taking the stat from will be destroyed in the process

You’re the best Djiso! I obtained the Cologne with Ferocious tiger today after watching this video and taking your recommendations. I was on my 10th masterwork cologne. 😂 I received about 30 exquisite ones as well before it finally dropped. Onto the pinwheel now…. Definitely going to be watching the finals as well while I farm for it!

I got lucky by getting the pinwheel in eternal Night with the prodigious dragon set. Definitely not the ideal cuz I do run into players who think they can just slash spam on bosses in that mission & they end up getting merked. Especially when you get to the 2nd wave having to deal with soji & kondo at the same time 🙃

I got the Cologne from Ryoma veil vowing him in the first playthrough (gold rarity as was not yet in Midnight). It took a mighty long time. I was wondering how to get a Masterwork version and didn't realise you can also get it via Cat Concierge. Of the new sets I didn't care too much for Ferocious Tiger set so I more focussed on Prodigious Dragon 6/6. I'd gotten 4 armor + 1 accessory = 5, but for the life of me I couldn't get the one more Masterwork accessory with it to make 6/6. I tried all how veil vowing the guys who drop accessories save-scumming before and after each veil vowing attempt 10x times repeatedly. All they kept dropping were gold accessories. Currently I have 5-6 of those NPCs witing to be veil vowed and of the hundreds of times I tried to veil vow them they just kept dropping gold rarity which do not include any of the new sets. It's just a painstakingly frustrating, time-wasting experience with the low drop rates. And the Luck perks make no difference as you said. I had a full 100 + 100 Fortune set plus other high Luck items on. No difference. I even complained to Team Ninja on their Facebook page about it. By a stoke of luck I eventually just recently got a Masterwork accessory including the one more Prodigious Dragon I wanted. This was from one of the mission replays "The Plot to Assassinate Harris"....Anti-Shogunate. So now have the 6/6 Pro Dragon. Regarding the option to reset Yokahama and go fight him being level 100 in Midnight would be a nightmare. He was hard enough in the first playthrough far more with him being level 100. I agree the Cat Concierge may be the better, easier way for the Masterwork accessories to drop, hopefully with the new sets. I Cat Concierge a lot, every opportunity with a full compliment of 100% cats so I'll keep on doing so to get more. Not going to bother with the Luck sets or items though. It makes no difference from my experience either so may as well equip other more useful sets or perks.

I recommend wearing the fortunes favourite gear when doing it to increase chances and also give him double the amount of items needed to increase his bond reward by 2 so you can get 2 rewards to help increase the chance of getting the higher masterwork too, just a tip to try! And this is my fav game this year soo far!

Fortune's Favourite make no difference. I had the set with 100 + 100 Luck, plus 120 Luck + 100+ Luck accessories, plus weapons or armor with more Luck. All this especially for farming them. Waste of time.

Genzui isn’t about that hoe life, he just wants to die for his country 💀 You could try fighting him as a special enemy in the public orders or you could farm him in the Honnoji Ally mission. He is usually next to Soji so you could also farm the pinwheel there

This one is weird - for some reason I could only access the convos that lead to his veiled vow through Testament of the Soul, and once I did the convos he gave me his accessory. After you get the accessory the first time, afterwards you can give him gifts until he gives you one - I would recommend saving before you give the gifts and reloading if you don't get it. Which is going to happen a lot.
