This weapons purpose of 320 light was so everyone can pick a weapon they want to be at 320. This weapon is pure essence of infuse fuel.

im sayin this without watchin the video u get 2 quest from variks one of the quest is to kill malok it wont start with kill malok it will say to track malok then find echo of malok also its veryyy easy if ur 307 or 308 and more and once u kill malok the taken go to reef and variks will award u a taken sword, i was using "the zhalo supercell" which made easier to kill a pack of enemies so if u have it its gonna be veryy easy u can also use dragons breath on the enemy but u will have to use heavy synthesis

My buddy got this and it's pretty great. The description I assume means the one speaking of the sword had a brother who was taken and so that was his "failure" and since he was taken his sword was taken as well so he recovered his brothers sword and now has this bad ass sword. Just a thought

Haha, everyones hating on the update. It's an add on guy's, not a whole new game so don't expect a bunch of new content. It's more fun now by far than it was before. It's regular old destiny with some new awesome things... I agree Bungie could have done better things but it's still great. I'm light level 307 and can't wait to get the sword tommorow. I find that the echo of Malok dropped out of the taken cabal more. Lucky me, I did the prison of elders and was faced with the taken. Got the objective done quickly. The only downside in the situation is that I was the only titan placed with two hunters.

Makes sense to infuse it now I think about it, light boost for lower level players and you should get the (slightly) better legendary elemental swords by that point.

The strike isn't avaible until you collect all echos of malok. I recommend the blighted coven on earth for the echos of malok. I got it done in 5min.

You can do this quest on each character, and it will still give you a 320 Dreadfang. Highly recommend doing this if you need to infuse a void heavy that isn't a sword.

If you are having trouble getting the at the gates quest it might be because you haven't finished the dread patrol quest and then after completion you should be able to get the quest

. Steven hayle Honestly, I couldn't say if you have to complete ALL TTK missions 1st. Since I've completed then a long time ago. Back during the same week TTK was released. But, you may not have to if you downloaded the new update. Also, honestly. I didn't even realize I was doing those missions for that sword. I didn't even know about it. I just happened to do a few missions and collected some things from the Taken, and went from there as knack is basically saying. I went to the reef and Variks had it for me. The main thing is you have remember though, is to download the new update in order to get these missions. It's very easy to do. Took me like 30mins or so. Good luck, guardian.

Steven hayle Sorry for the long reply, but I just wanted to be detailed with my answer to you question. And btw, this sword is badass. It's definitely better, and stronger than the rest you get from the crucible guy. Plus it's 320 attack. Maybe even equal to or a bit better than the exotic sword(s). So you should definitely get it today.
