I have some sets I would like to recommend. If you’re more of a offense over defense person, then rathalos and ceanataur armor is the set for you. Rathalos armor has attack up and weakness exploit which are pretty op for low and high rank, and ceantaur armor has expert and sharpness skills that increase damage and make sharpness last longer. Ceantaur isn’t too hard to deal with, but Rathalos does fly a lot so it can get annoying, but if you bring flashbombs and constantly flash him out of the sky he will be pretty easy.

a note to those wanting to solo the hub quest: in the old games (not monster hunter world) online hub quests are ALWAYS scaled for 2 players, no matter if you're by yourself or with 4 people, the mosnter will always be scaled for 2 players which is roughly 20%-60% more health (depends on what quest it is) then they're village counterpart (the village quests are the offline quests that hyou can only do solo so they're scaled for 1 player) it's definitly possible to solo (speedrunners will kill G rank hub mosnters in 3-5 minutes usually while most hunters take longer then that with a full team of 4) all the hub quests but it will be more difficult and take longer

@@IAmPerko for the majority of monsters in the hub quests they have about 20-60% more health then the villiage versions. that's proper 2 player scaling. further supported by world (and assuming rise) because with 3 or 4 players the health scaling goes above 100% extra health than when alone

This is a really useful video in general, but one thing I think should be mentioned is that the urgent quest to enter G rank is diablos which, while not the strongest monster in the game by any stretch, is considerably harder than a barroth like you said. Barroth is the urgent from G1 to G2, which makes sense as it is a generally weaker monster that is still threatening due to now having G rank stats. overall though this guide is quite useful

I was thinking the same thing. That Diablos quest is the whole reason I'm having trouble, because as far as I have heard and can tell from my personal experience, that particular Diablos is EXTRA hard. And I don't have online or friends who play MH, so I have to do it solo. Which sucks. Help.

@@freedomnash any style should work fine but if you're having trouble staying alive Adept and Valor are definite go-to styles. Adpet Greatsword is one of my favourites in general but against a diablos where evading an attack might not give you the time to counter attack you could have an easier time with Valor.

The creation of rooms and all this French Hunters... So for me MH4U is on place 4 of all MH games.

I didn't know you liked Monster Hunter! And at 6:00 I made the G-Rank Nerscylla armor as my first G-Rank set in this game, except I made the gunner armor for the Heavy Bowgun! EDIT: Oh by the way, for Heavy Bowguns I recommend the Tanksorceror (the Gypceros one) because, in addition to decent power, it has access to the core three status attacks of Sleep, Paralysis, and Poison (even gets Poison for crouching fire), and it even gets a built-in ammo called a Flash Shot which is basically a Flash Bomb you shoot in front of a monster's stupid ugly face. Also Gunpowder Infusion is easily the best HBG Hunter Art because it powers up your shots for a limited NUMBER, not time, number. And that number is often higher then the number of shots needed to reactivate the Art unless you have really bad aim, so you just pop it again when your number of powered up shots starts getting low. It's great! :D

7:00 just saying, only the first attack deals double the damage. My suggestion is, lay all bombs except one at the monsters weak point, then one bomb a bit further away, but close enough to hit it, and then activate that bomb via a small bomb. That way you ensure that the first hit the monster is getting, is the one with the double amount of damage. Ofc, if you have a strong attack, like a GS charge attack, you can use that as your first attack aswell. (But be sure that it exceeds the damage value of the bomb, which is not too underestimate.)

Just to correct a few things, bombs deal fixed damage so it doesn’t necessarily matter where they go off at just make sure it’s a part that you want to break. Also, I believe in the older games sleep bombs actually did triple damage but I’m not sure if they have changed it by gu or not so take it with a grain of salt.

As I was researching for the script to make sure about some details, it said double damage when looking at sites like Kiranico and wikis. And with the Bombs damage can be increased with skills (such as bombardier and felyne skills from food) but if explode one, it can cause all others to blow up at the same time if they are within range thus all counting for the special modifier. @@TheOrpheon Don't wanna argue with those websites, but it's simply not true. Only the very first hit, gets the bonus dmg. It's been this way at least since Tri, when I started. If you try it out in World or Rise you can also see the dmg numbers for yourself. @Cody Hines Yeah, in the old games it was actually triple the dmg, had to google that myself again. It's been a while.

Wanna get to g rank fast? Just let others carry you until you get to g rank, I'm sure you'll do just fine with all the experience you made! And if it's too hard just hop online and find someone to farm athal ka with, at that point you will be finally ready to understand that you just robbed yourself of the game experience

FYI Blast Status is unaffected by "Status Atk +1", rather it's affected by the "Bombardier" skill (which is included in the "Explosive Trapper" skill found in Nerscylla X armor) Additionally, make very sure that the bombs actually make the first hit, the LBBs has a slight delay before setting off. I've seen some footage where trying to melee the bombs end up smacking the monster first before the bombs blew up, wasting the sleeping bonus damage

For status sns , I suggest the dreadqueen armor ,for sleep sns the nercilla has 270 attk 22 sleep but I rather use phobetor finsword 250 attk 33sleep natural blue , with minds eye oil is not a problem and you can get the monster to sleep 2 or 3 times if needed, for paralisis the gendrome is your best friend for poison eeeee hard to say gold rath more pison less attack , normal more attack les posion , dreadqueen kind of a middle ground

I wish that think about the sleep bombing were true, at least for World.. Only the initial explosion does 2x DMG and the monster immediately wakes from it, causing the neighboring bombs (which only detonate after being ignited by the first) to only do standard damage.

The fastest way to get into G Rank is just to play a Bomb Prowler. Even with suboptimal skills, bombs are so ridiculously strong that you'll be sub-10-ing pretty much everything up until G Rank hub quests. You don't need items, you never have to fight anything more than once, you don't have to think about your weapon since you'll just use whatever has the highest raw (Uragaan), and the skills needed to play a Bomb Prowler are super easy to come by (Bomb Resist, Bombay Boost, and eventually Extra Bomb Blasts). Spam bombs, don't worry about aiming, and have a *_blast_*

@@TheOrpheon Yeesh, I'm not that good with the CB I actually tried recharging and I didn't know how to recharge sadly So the LS has been helping me more often At first I used the Dark Scythe just because it looked cool using a weapon that's not an actual sword At first I thought SnS would help me more until I kept tackling the Great Maccao when I was supposed to gather 3 unique ferns, I basically kept playing the same thing back in December 2020 and I didn't know how to beat him But after I did the quests, I finally defeated him Then Cephadrome, he was difficult I technically needed better armor to be protected from attacks Eventually I killed it Next hard boss was the Nibelsnarf, he kept charging and busting out of the ground Whenever I try to mount, he shoots sand at me Also killed Next the Blangonga, he was hard AF I kept trying to beat him but with all that roaring, punching and ice attacks. I just about gave up And after getting the Fated 4, I thought farming them would help Turns out that they weren't actually elemental resistance, but it was still worth it after putting jewels on them all And the hornetaur armor, I thought that'd help too But there's no monster with the dragon element at low rank, technically high rank armor would be better Just seeing all the normal monsters in mhgu really makes me inspired by how many monsters are in the game Even farming just for resistance, skills and their element/aliment weapons inspire me from iron man like the Alloy Armor is Mark 1 and the Astalos armor is Mark 2 and other monster armor are other suits Õ_Õ Have I been running my mouth, heh Just like my mom says, I'm like deadpool *always talk too much*

By hunting rhenoplos in a high rank quest. They are the small triceratops looking monsters, you can get 2 carves out of them. Its not a guaranteed item so you may need to hunt more than a few

Have you upgraded your armor? How much defense does it have? Your armor at this point of the game should have around ~480-500 defense (Blademaster)

Id say get the Grank sets, they come w higher defense and some monster are unique to it. High Rank was the end game for the first game (generations) before the Ultimate content arrived

@@Restexx My advice is to go through to G-Rank, the gear/weapons in that tier are much better than those in High-Rank. If you need a place to start try the set I recommend, the sleep bombing works great with charge blades as well

If G Rank in Generations is as hard as 4 Ultimate to achieve. Then this video title is just clickbait lacking a solution which can actually solve the problem. I tried everything to get past 9 star monsters in 4 Ultimate. The game withholds the gear needed to progress in the game. By making the farmable monster you need to farm to make those battles beatable unbeatable. I gave the game 300 hours before finally giving up.
