Just gonna post the obvious 'answer' and that is a single metroid managed to consume so much phazon that it mutated into a variant with more potential than any other metroid in the series. After absorbing Samus' DNA it transformed even further into something more akin to 'Sarah Kerrigan'. What I can agree that doesn't make it seem like a Metroid at all is that the only time it tried to absorb anything it had an actual metroid anatomy &/ look to it. It's desire to spread phazon rather than 'DBZ Cell' it's way to it's goals was simply a different kind of absorbsion as a virus instead. Prime/ Dark Samus was more of a Virus now instead of a parasite.

He told me that there was actually somebody who got an idea to create a global language for everybody to easily to speak and understand. I have always been a metroid fan since samus returns

When I played Metroid Fusion for the first time, I had two chilling realisations. 1: To a normal human, a single X parasite is Death incarnate. The X cannot be harmed with conventional weaponry, requiring exceptional circumstances to destroy (I.E: Blowing up the planet/space station it's on!). And 2: Had Samus arrived at the elevator to Sector 1 even a few seconds later, the SA-X would've encountered and KILLED her. At that point in the game Samus would've had no method of harming it, whilst it could have frozen and blown her apart like a Metroid. Samus was lucky to avoid meeting it at that point by mere seconds. I know this may not seem all that staggering to you guys, but it really put things into perspective for me personally.

I honestly love replaying the game, because it definitely is a wonderful example of the first play through always being the worst play through. It’s really fun to refine the route, know where not to go, etc. It’s a lot of the same joy that I get out of the original Legend of Zelda, but with a different flavor to it.

I think the reason she is weak to the Dark Beam is Because the Dark Beam is basically the Prime 2 Equivalent of the Ice Beam, due to the Light Beam being a Heat Based beam similar to the Plasma Beam - and way more Powerful - the Dark Beam in contrast is also Cold Based like the Ice Beam as it can Paralyze Metroids allowing you to nuke them with Missiles, and Dark Samus *is* Metroid in Origen.

Technically since Dark Samus originated from a Metroid too and considering how Metroids reproduce, it is clear to assume that the Metroid Prime - her previous form - is also technically female since it gives birth to Metroids

To me metroid prime sounds like, the first or original, or primordial metroid, I'm not sure about the timeline, but maybe the chozo took the DNA of the prime to later bioengineer the metroids, giving it the name which is why it's designated like that in samus' suit rather than in the logs in talon IV

Where are these backstories revealed? I never played Hunters and only recently watched a playthrough of it, and I don't remember hearing about any of this, though I very well could've missed it.

In certain way they based on Samus Dialog on Fusion( i suppose these both game use the same guidelines) She expressed the irony of her being saved twice for a race she extinguished, and the consequences this lead with the X infestation was a direct consequence of the Metroid extermination. And that she see the Metroids elimination as a mistake what guilt her. And a Growing dislike and distrust toward the Federation, for they previous choices and convenient hypocrecy. PD: we can critique a lot of things of Fusion in term of gameplay, but the elevator inner monologues of Samus are well written.

If Metroid Prime 4 Beyond does include time travel like people are speculating, maybe Sylux goes back in time with the metroid he stole at the end of Federation Force and plants it at the crash site thus setting up all the events of the Prime Series. It could be that the developers are trying to fix that one plot hole with time travel.

What about dread it confirms to us that the Metroid went extinct so maybe this game takes place somewhere after Metroid dread we samus has to kill the Metroids once and for all

I think that the reason the Hatchling didn't attack Samus is because if they are born, they're programmed to think the first thing they see as their mom AS LONG as this thing is the Thoha (A more scientific tribe focused on peace, so it makes sense for them to program metroids hatchlings to see them as equal or mother figure's and don't attack them, but if a metroid grows a bit and it's not seeing a Thoha at the time of hatching, they will attack even them later), since Samus had Thoha genes, the hatchling didn't attack her and bonded with her. While Metroids evolving is what made the Thoha lose control over them. Also a Queen is necessary to birth a Metroid, but it seems a Queen was developed later in the process, the memories shows metroids being first made on a tube, not a queen. Another thing I think Raven Beak doesn't understand the truth about how Metroids were developed. They are not attacked to see Mawkin as enemies, they are programed to see anything as a threat. Samus just got triggered with her metroid DNA because she was about to die on a dire situation probably, and not because it was Raven Beak. But who knows?

What I like is that Prime 1 shows how long the Leviathan’s impact has affected the planet, the second showing the aftermath shortly after impact, and the third showing what HAPPENS when a Leviathan strikes a planet. Just excellent ways to convey to the player the process of the poisons of Phazon.

A friend of mine said that Nintendo did this idea twice with Fusion and Prime 2 because it’s the same concept with the X parasites and the Ing. All I said YOU’RE WRONG. The X parasites, emphasis on the parasite, infect a being, consume its DNA, and m then destroy the original host and mimic it. It’s prevalent with the X leaving the bones behind. They can even copy mechanical blueprints like the Varia suit. The Ing however can possess any host, biological and mechanical, for a set time then leave the host once it’s defeated. The Ing aren’t parasitic. They’re more ghostly creatures if you catch my drift.

I'd welcome a HD port of this game for thr Switch.
