How to get to MetLife Stadium? | NY Jets & NY Giants Stadium

It's American football season! Expect to watch a lot of NFL games in the next few months. And when in New York City, your teams are the New York Giants and the New York Jets. But ironically, they play in New Jersey and not in NYC. Where is MetLife Stadium? MetLife Stadium is located in Meadowlands Sports Complex, NJ. There are a couple of ways to get there: by shuttle bus (operated by Coach USA at Port Authority Bus Terminal) or by train (NJ Transit at Penn Station). In this video, learn how to attend an NFL football game to watch the Giants or the Jets.

Took the train from penn station to the jets game yesterday. If you’re going to do this, it’s best to arrive extremely early. Our train to Secaucus left penn almost 3 hours before game time and we were all packed in there like sardines. There doesn’t appear to be any monitoring of how many people they should let on before they deem it at full capacity. Although it isn’t a long ride, it was still uncomfortable. Same thing with the shuttle to the stadium. In future we will probably drive instead. We left early to beat the rush on the way back. Jets won the game though!

Hi Thea, Super Bowl XLVIII was at Metlife Stadium and taking the train there that day was the worst decision the fans made. After the game, the train couldn't handle all the fans leaving at the same time. Some fans waited as long as 4 hours to get on the train to go to one stop and then transfer to another train at the first stop. If I remember it snow later that day. Waiting 4 hours is a long time in the cold 🥶 Great video as always 504th thumbs up 😎👍

I really would like to see the Giants play. I have only seen the Jets twice once on Nov 13, 2016 and on Oct 31, 2021. Also I went MetLife Stadium on Sep 6, 2022 for a concert. 3:44 lol I fells so weird seeing HCL Tech and not SAP I kind of got used to the SAP gate.

I Went to the Superbowl in 2014 and took The Path Train to Secaucus & then transfered to another train to Metlife. The first leg was amazing and only took minutes. However, when we had to transfer trains, we were packed in like caged animals and it tool like two hours to get onto the next train. It was so bad that ABC News was there & they interviewed me, to ask about my experience. I blamed Chris Christy for not being prepared for the biggest Event in New Jersey history! Everything on The New York side was done perfectly. I got there 5 days early & went to all of the Superbowl Fan Fest events. Nobody knows how to prepare for crowds & events like New York! On the positive side, I thought Met Life Stadium was the best Stadium I've ever been to!!

I attend a lot of games at the Meadowlands and I have tried each method of transit several times. I find taking the bus to the stadium and the train back is the easiest, for me at least. Leaving the stadium is always an adventure. I have had seamless rides home on the bus and the train, while others were nightmares. The schedule for the train makes it difficult on Sundays to get back. They have a time when they send 5 trains in a row and then a 45 minute gap between trains to Penn from Secaucus. I have got stuck in that 45 minute gap many times and it is quite annoying. As for the bus, they fill up each bus one at a time rather than several buses which takes up time. Also you may get stuck in tunnel traffic on the way back after a Sunday afternoon game. Basically you never know what you are in for leaving that stadium, it is different every time no matter which way you go.

@@adeelabrar8699 it is different for night games during the week. I think at that point either option is fine. The only thing I don't like about the bus is how they load them after the game. Not really sufficient. But once on the bus since it's late you should be fine. They both have their pros and cons.

But it is safe to say that bus or train are guaranteed whenever there´s an event in the metlife, right? I´m going to a concert and it honestly freaks me out to analyze how are getting ouf ot there at night. Had the worst experience leaving Levi´s Stadium on a rainy day so I really want it to go as smooth a possible.

Thanks! I would say the PATH is the easiest way to get there. You can take a subway train to World Trade, then the NJ PATH to Exchange Place, then walk a few blocks. Good luck! I hope you get some nice pictures.

It depends the game and how good they’re season is, since you live in the UK I suggest you plan early as soon as they release the schedule especially if it’s a game against the Eagles, Cowboys, or Commanders

It is. It'll take a while to get out of the sports complex parking area, but its better than standing outside over an hour to take the bus back. Then You have to take public transportation to get home.

Getting there is fine, quick and easy as described …. but the wait for returning buses has been for us mostly HOURS, unless you leave early ! Do yourself a favour - either take the bus out and train back OR just TAKE THE TRAIN. Oh, and go early. 💙🤍❤️
