How to get under 7 seconds in the Archery challenge | Ghost of Tsushima

New to Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut is the archery challenges dotted around Iki Island. They are fun to do but I thought some people might think "how the F*** do people get under 7 seconds for the gold medal." well here is how.

Same here I tell you what without that new update I was never going to go back and complete the side objectives where you play the flute for the animals and have to tilt your controller up and down according to the wave but it was impossible for me to tell when to tilt my controller. Now it's a new updated too much easier there's like a green ball in the middle that represents your controller. Or am I the only one who had difficult?

@@ElPatron42069 The first sanctuary I completed I was a little lost too but figured it out. It was overall pretty easy for me and an enjoyable side objective. But that’s just me, hope it gets easier for you.

If you're still struggling to complete these challenges in 7 seconds or less, you can enable aim assist on Accessibility. It will help you lock in to the lanterns. Use concentration too. I use mine as soon as the time starts and before I hit my first target, which is usually the furthest.

Or just wear Tadayori's Armor with the Charm of Concentration. It made it much easier.

@@azazel166 I would always complete the challenge a little over 7-8 point something seconds. I have the Tadayori's Armor, but when I equiped it, I didn't realize how fast he reload arrows and more time while concentrating. I was in complete awe when I completed the challenge in 5.4 seconds

Charm of versatile skills works only when you have one amulet of each category. You have 2 ranged amulets. Therefore the versatile skills amulet does nothing

To get the charm of Versatile Skill, you need to reach the Title Rank “Legacy Redeemer” on Iki Island.

That charm doesn’t buff ranged charms, just utility charms

​@tim.noonan it doubles the effect of any type of minor charm, if you only have 1 type of that minor charm equipped (i.e. if you had 1 utility, 1 range, 1 defense, 1 stealth, all of them would be doubled)

just spent 30 minutes trying to do it without tadayori’s armour and then as soon as i put it on i got it on my 3rd try… fastest without it was 7.9

Cool video, I ran pretty much the same set-up...one thing I don't really get is all the 7 second challenge videos I see people say to use the charm of versatile skills along with 2 efficiency and concentration but that's useless as versatile skills only works on them if you have 1 ranged charm equiped...atleast that's how I understand it to work it says it "doubles the effect of minor charms if it is the only minor charm of the same category equiped" so more than 1 ranged charm voids it's effects.

Tadayori's Armor or Archery Master's Armor. They increase concentration by 3 seconds.

You can also use the charms of efficiency as well as the charm of concentration. Scroll through your charms list and equip any charm that aids in ranged.

Doesnt charm of versatile skill only work when you only have one category in the minor slot? You have two under the arrow category, so charm of concentration and charm of efficiency wont benedit from versatile skills.

@@lorinrusu5893 I just spent like maybe 3 hours on the first one and the best I could do was 7.7! Soon as I put this armour on I got 6.6 seconds on the second attempt. Be interesting to see how many people did the first one in under 7 seconds with regular armour as that is quite an achievement

@@jaykay7932 I had a specific order in which I had more accuracy for some reason and you really have to keep an eye on that timer, take advantage of every second and try different methods.

I could do it without the charm of versatile skills. Simply max out the archery skill, Tadayori's armor and use any major charm in the first 2 slots and for the 4 minor slots, use this combination: - charm of efficiency (slot 1 & 2) - charm of concentration (slot 3) - charm of enduring affliction (slot 4)

Just repicked up the game and downloaded dlc -ik I'm late..- and totally forgot about the other armor, I did all that besides switching before coming to this video. Just left the travelers set by default.

I was wondering if it's possible to do it without any armour, charms and the ghost skill. I feel like it should be possible to beat it with just your aiming skills, but while playing it, I see that it's physically impossible to do it because Jin is not reloading his bow fast enough. But then again, me and my aiming technique may be the problem.😄

The controls on this game are trash! The constant drifting, and the over compensation of the camera (even with drift compensation on) makes me curse this game to no end!
