How to get UNIQUE Project Ideas (Software Engineering)

Have you ever wanted to make a project that stands out in a sea of resumes but don't have any unique or original ideas for an app or website? In this video I lay out my framework for how I come up with one of a kind project ideas for software engineering portfolios and resumes.
Having unique projects is a huge part of the interview process, in my experience right after algorithms & data structures knowledge. Without unique projects that you're passionate about, it's going to be much harder to stand out as an applicant.
Disclaimer: I am not a tech interviewer. This is all based on my personal experience as an interviewee and I'm sure there are people with no personal projects or experience that have received great job offers. I am fairly certain that there is a correlation however since I've always been asked about my projects no matter which company I was interviewing for.

Biggest thing I can say helped me was to develop a habit of writing down my ideas every time I get them before I forget. Then I have a list to refer to when I'm not sure what to build 👌
