you can extend your base without using the base computer. go to the outskirts of your build area and stand just inside of the area where you can still build, then build a container or something and push it as far away from you as you can. It will place outside of your current build area and extend that area.

Step 1 find and mark an electromagnetic spot. Then discover every spot around it. Pick the best 2 that are next to eachother (not counting the electric spot. Triangulate the center point of the three points. Put base there. Put two sets of storage silos. Put gas or mine silos at the respectable sites. Run electric to base then to the gas or mine areas. Run pipes from the sites to your storage silos. Each silo group can only hold one type of substance. Build base at center probably for east access to storage silos but can build anywhere.

Jason, a suggestion. Rather than place your base computer at the center of a power hot spot, survey the surrounding hotspots. If one is fortunate to have an adjacent Indium hotspot within 500u of the power hot spot, he should place the base computer in between so that its territory includes both hot spots. There is a way to expand a hotspot territory to as far as 1000u, but it’s glitchy to manage unless you know how to work it; I have such a base if you would like an illustration for your channel. It is just easier if you can have both resources in one standard territory. Even better, if there are two desirable hotspots within 500u of a power hotspot with a middle ground for all, by all means place the base computer in the sweet spot so that its territory includes all three hot spots. I have experimented much with this strategy and have come to prefer it. Hope this helps. Thx for the great vid as always.

thats what im building atm, 1 with mining and mag shield generator bases, with about 900"mtrs" between them i placed 1 "extra" base computer in between them but 1 side of a wire is blue and the other is red so i think i need 1 more computer... hmm, maybe ill build another base in between, a "collect" home base haha, freaking love this game :D

Switch your weapon to mining when Sentinels are investigating, and they wont think you did anything after scanning. The reverse works if you mined a rock they liked. Note: This does not work if they are already mad or yo pick up a ball.

For Long Range Power, what I did was reach the edge of the Base Computer build range and plop down a Scaffold Tower. For me, this increased the range a little more. Thus I keep build Scaffold Towers at the edge until I reached the Power Hotspot. Works with any other Hotspots as well. Also makes connecting power cords and pipelines easier.

I found the edge of my base placed a cuboid room frame at the bottom of the water built up to the surface. Then placed the frames out past my limit. Until I ran out of pure ferrite. Each time I built out past the limit in a inch worm fashion check the field strength. Add the six frames out check field strength until I hit the sweet spot built a oil rig fashion structure in the middle of the sweet spot 4 by 4 cuboid room frames. Then placed strut quad at the corners . Put those gens in place wired it up! Ty for the video

If you reach your build area limit and can't reach your power or ore area put a simple floor panel down and build off if it in the direction of the ore you can expand the build area to cover it this way

I have an Activated Indium mine base powered by an electromagnetic source. it is a great way to automate production. Secret squirrel tip: you can stack the electromagnetic generators to make cool looking towers. They, unlike the mining rigs, don't need to be touching the ground. BTW awesome content, I have used your crashed ship vids and recommended them to my nephew. Keeo up the good work.

when you start the game, you repair you ship fly off and find a nice place to make your base then follow the log then get to the anomaly station and buy your stuff, you can't do it in reverse and anyway you need to make a base on flat ground and you will not have the option of a power source near by, it could be miles away.

You have your source on electromagnetic hotspot. You can switch anytime and it'll show you whatever you're looking for (gas, mineral or power).

The game needs buildable electric poles to transfer Power from one base to another. Right now there's a glitch to extend the range of you base with batteries to reach the hotspot if they are far apart, because putting a base computer on the hotspot will make it impossible to transfer its power to your other bases. but that glitch will reduce you building limit. Hopefully they look into this

Okay, if you want to build a mining base such like this the important thing to do is to search for a A or S mineral deposit with activated indium first. The thing is that you want maximum resource income and a C-electricity hotspot with 6 electromagnetic generators is more than able to support a mineral farm with 15 extractors. For short: electricity hotspots doesn't matter that much.

Easiest way I did it was to goto the edge of the "base" coverage and build a solar panel. Continue doing that up until you are near the mining area. Your base doesnt need to be on the middle.

I believe there may be a maximum range when running wire. Unfortunately I didn't know about generators until after I built my base, and now the closest hotspot is very far away. I can only run wire out a certain distance before it turns red. Tried daisy chain with batteries but apparently the power can only go so far from the generators. So now I'm building a new base.

Methods I've tried but failed: 1.Put down a few wire spot between my base and the hotspot. 2.Non stop wire between my base and the hotspot. 3.Use bio fuel or battery as a mediate. 4.Set a base computer in between . 1,3 and 4 encountered the same problem, even the wire is connected, the power line stays brown which it means there's no power running on it.

I ran into a similar problem that I solved by building a second base as close to my old base as possible so that the 2 bases were next to ech other and ran cabling between the two. Hope that helps.

You can extend your base up to 1000u from the base constructor. You do this incrementally by adding a base object at farthest limit, then do so again, and again. So, the key is to find a good A/S class mine and then honestly any power C-S will do.

TheThinking1 Ver 2.9 had no such limitation. You can download it from torrent, build your base, then switch back to the latest version to make gold extractor working. But gold is not needed as everyone can buy tons of pugneum from space station ships

What i do is i stack wooden Half arc's on top of each other ( depends) how hight it want then connect electic wire on the point and bring them down at the flat back for equipment.Some arc"s i put back to back then it look like overhead electric towers

As long as your hazard protection is full you are safe. That's why I always have 2 hazard protections for each element, that way I get about 10 minutes before I have to refill.

If you are on xbox clicl the left thumbstick to enter build mode (think its called that) it negates ALL environmental damage to allow you to use a free-roam camera to place any building object inside your base's build radius

I can't seem to transfer power from one base to another. So I made a power generator base and tried to connect it to my mining base. Im doing this and wire is red and its not powering stuff,i ran a pretty far distance placing down wires,the electromagnetec generator is working but for some reason no power output on the wires

Still can’t connect pipes to storage without getting not connected error message, does anyone know if they plan on fixing this or did they just blow it off. I’m on Xbox one, thx

to fix this delete the storage units. And simply rebuild it in the same spot. this will not delete your items you have stored in it. then reconnect the wires. this should fix it.

You can have at maximum 10 storage containers (per base) See nomanssky.gamepedia.com/Storage_Container

Ive found an activated indium near an A electromagnetic field. But i cant seem to find a way to connect both bases with the wires. It stops mid way everytime i try to connect it. Ive chained it with batteries but it still doesnt work for me. Do you have any solutions to connect the electromagnetic field to my mineral extractor at the activated indium site without my wires stopping mid way? Or is it still impossible?

Where is your base located? There are hard limits to base distance, sounds like you are hitting that.

"both bases" I think you made the same mistake I did on my first farm. You cannot connect multiple base computers. It has to be one base area.

Try to use an electrical wire using a short range teleporter....Two batteries with wire for local teleporter .. and one wire ...
