You said something that hits home with me. It’s as stressful to have a month of work on the books as it is to have a week. One end your scared one end you piss people off every time it rains. Build that list and blast them. We spend 6-10k on marketing a month and send 2 marketing emails a week. Also don’t leave out service autopilot on the crm list it’s not free but it’s changed my business.

Jacob did you notice a big change once SAP was added to your day to day ops? We started on yardbook, moved to jobber for the zapier and send jim automatons but clearly we are at a point where we need more. Thinking SAP

Brandon Tubek it was huge. We started with jobber our first full time year in business. I knew by the end of that year we needed more and we made the jump to service autopilot. It is worth every penny we pay and we aren’t even using it to it’s full potential. It has been a game changer. I’m going to try to make a more in depth video of it All the stuff Keith is talking about here can be done with it. It is basically like have mail chimp inside of your crm and no limit on emails.

I do need to get more signs made. I only do lawn cutting, but I generated all my business off of the GreenPal app. From starting April 19 of this year till now I have cut 148 yards. My average yard cut price is combined is 49 dollars. The app has allowed me to grow to where I can afford to over bid yards and still win on going service. I made a video on it here on KZbin.

I own a window cleaning company and the hardest thing is not having reacurring work with the same clients, once you clean there windows there like "thanks" and your not sure if there ever going to call you back. Lawn care seems better because they need you bi-weekly. The pay from cleaning windows is great but it's a hit or miss with callers. Anyone have a solution? I've been thinking I need to go get a regular job, at least I'd have a steady income.

Subscribe and save dude. Direct debit/card on file 6 week and 12 week rota is the norm for regular window cleaning services. Plus cleaning, like lawn mowing, is much nicer knowing you were there so long ago and it’s not so dirty/ overgrown. One off always charge more and offer them your regular services at the price you want to be paid for them.

Hey Keith, love your videos. I'm not sure if you've made a vid about this, but I'm making some calls to friends and family trying to market my work but a lot of them are saying things like "oh I already had x company come and pull my weeds" or "this company came earlier this summer" so my question is, being that I feel late in the game, what's a good season for landscape? I feel like I can maybe pull together rakings, plantings, etc in the fall but probably not much else as the people I'm calling don't need these services. What's your $.02? Thanks in advance

Sadid Rahimi I started “late” last year myself. Ran into the same problems. You have to keep talking to people. Hand out flyers, call a local company and see if they can sub you some work (you’ll have to give a percentage), Craigslist, etc. If all else fails, stay positive and KEEP TRYING. Get ahead of the fall cleanups by booking that work before your friends and family hire someone else! It’ll happen. This worked for me. I only have a handful of mowing clients but have done a dozen landscaping jobs! It’s a slow process. Best of luck mate.
