I stream almost every night over on Twitch. We vote on Platinum Hits games throughout the week, and play them every Monday, so if you'd like to see these games in action, come say hi! www.twitch.tv/jankedjesus

6:53 One small tidbit, Perfect Dark Zero was actually the prequel to the N64 game, despite releasing after. The main storyline comes before PD N64, and even before the GBC game iirc. Good research Kyle, never thought about the workaround to use a modern Xbox for these games, plus not worrying about the language barrier is a big plus!

Thanks Riley, hope this helps people get to play these games for cheaper!

I think this is the first time that I've been grateful that Japan never gave a crap about Xbox!

Yeah, it's kind of a bummer the brand never really took off proper over there, but I'm definitely enjoying the benefits of it now haha!

That _Lost Odyssey_ box is *THICCUMS* Also, everyone should stop not JTAGging or RGHing their 360. :D

Microsoft learned a lot after modders basically blew the OG Xbox wide open, so it's a lot harder to mod 360s since the security was so much more robust. Whereas just about anyone can mod an original console, 360 modding definitely requires a higher level of skill.

@@jankedjesus it used to be easy to reflash the firmware on a 360’s DVD drive, then they stepped security up (to the point where on late revisions it requires a discontinued probe or *drilling into a chip*) and added AP3.0 checks.

How the hell have you never played the OG MW? There's a reason why that and the sequel are seriously considered the iconic duo of the entire franchise along with Black Ops 2. - And it's not just for the online play, the campaigns are held as phenomenally good by the entire community around this series, even to this day.

Like I said in the video, I played Modern Warfare 2 quite a bit, both online and the singleplayer campaign, and really enjoyed it. Call of Duty just wasn't on my radar until MW2.

lots of great games it just sucks the system had so many failure rates through mid life.. PS3 ended up taking over at the end.. But the 360 was awesome

I had one of the early 360s, and Microsoft at least tried to do right by those that bought them, offering free replacements for faulty systems when they red-ringed. I'd argue Sony ultimately winning had more to do with Microsoft trying to cater to casuals toward the end with the Kinect; I think that was a big misstep.

I respect this video bro but me personally I dont like Japan covers

In all fairness, I'm collecting the Platinum Collection versions, which tend to have that border around the artwork. US games got those re-releases as well. And Japan definitely has non-Platinum versions as well. Definitely a preferential thing.

I got a 360 probably a year after it released. Maybe a little longer. Had it 2 months and it RROD. I never will purchase another microsoft game console again.
@jankedjesusАй бұрын
Yeah, mine red ringed a few times as well. It was definitely annoying, but as long as it was within the warranty period, Microsoft would replace the consoles for free.
