Working with a lab as a demo dog isn't fair. They are generically programed to be food motivated, outgoing, and confident. What about those breeds that are a bit more challenging? The ones that are not food motivated? That are a bit more reactive? Any advice for for the breeds that may need a workaround?

My dog knows when she has a leash on her and when I’m holding it, so she tries to make a run for it.

If it's puppy, this odd habit will stop soon, as soon as he grows up. Anyhow, you can find perfect videos related to "leave it" command here on the MacCann Dogs youtube channel.

I have heard some dogs eat poop because they are not getting enough nutrition from the food they are getting. Make sure you are feeding a high quality, clean ingredient dog food.

This is a great example 9n how to work a command for recall. I did this with my dog for many years. Follow for pet content, let's keep in touch

Try doing that with a Jack Russel that’s not interested in treats .

A) you're probably overfeeding B) The dog probably has more prey (toy) drive anyway 😅

i have a 3 month puppy and he vacuums everything up off the ground outside so no leash walking is a no go

I love this except for the leash pops on the dogs neck. Use a harness and prevent collapsed tracheas. Also teach the dog to listen to your voice rather than responding to a leash pop.

If you are popping a leash hard enough to collapse a trachea, you should be arrested

unless you have a very weak chihuahua, leash pops aren’t collapsing any tracheas lol. maybe leash yanks, but not pops
