The easiest and best way is to read and use a yellow marker of your own states's manual. You will see all the questions your test can have on it. once you take the test make notes which in the manual which questions were asked. I just took my 9th renewal test today, and by chance there were many questions about hauling explosives. That's the first test I saw that many questions on it. I passed, only getting one question wrong, and I skipped one. there's may free online practice tests, but your states manual is the best choice to to learn. Start study 6 weeks before your test, once or twice a week read through it. The more times you read it, the more it sinks in, and I by the time you yske your test, you will do fine and pass it.

Are you required to do the ELDT classes if you are just getting the endorsement? I got my Class A in Feb 2020. DMV doesnt really seem to specify.

Thank you for being quick, clear and to the point. So it’s basically 2 written test, 2 background checks, and a physical. Assuming you can’t fail the application. Are there specific hazmat courses (to take the first test you mentioned) that are like DOT/TSA approved that are required? And if so where do you find them?

@Nos I’ve had my cdl for 2 years but am now going for the H endorsement. I really just wanna make sure I don’t get scammed paying $100 for some online “ELDT approved” Hazmat course, only to find out it’s not approved by the DMV. It’s crazy how hard it is to find a straight up answer about this.

I was advised to take the tests for hazmat/Tanker now before 1 year passes, or I will have to pay all of the fees and take all of the tests that I already passed all over again.

@@MrDmacc1went to the DMV this week. No you don’t have to take another road test. All you have to do is take hazmat course , get your finger print taken and head on to the dmv to take the written test .
