BRO. I've had an R6 before and picked up a 2015 S1000RR two months ago - the exact same color as the one in the vid. You literally made me knee down within three hours of dedicated practice - and that's in a parking lot. In circles, as if doing donuts in a car. At 25-30km/hr. On 5 year old tires (ordered new ones now) Thank you so much man, you really are the best!

I've been riding since 1987, owned 9 bikes now (2 currently), and I've taught about ten people how to ride over the years (including 3 women). But I myself have never learned to corner at this level (let alone teach it). Oh I've scraped pegs and gone all the way to the edge of tires thousands of times, but I just never learned how to hang off the bike. Certainly never thought I'd want to go out and try to learn it at age 51 now. But this video has inspired me - I'm getting knee pads and doing this in a huge lot. On actual roads I won't try it, but I want this body posture/alignment skill happening even when I'm only going halfway...

it's countless times that I re-watched this again and again trying to spot my mistakes, to this day I've not been able to drag my knee in a normal size bike, practiced in pit-pikes and worked well, but in naked bike my knee feels like it's way too high to get close to the ground, I would love to see a detailed explanation from you @motojitsu on how to position your feet depending on the rider size and the motorcycle. (you do have a video about positioning your feet but I must be doing something wrong because putting my feet in the recommended position just make my knee to go even higher and not lower). Thanks again for all the effort you put on these videos, I'm trying to do the same in spanish as I agree that practicing is pure gold and life-saving attitude.

The big thing that brings most riders to be concerned about leaning / knee dragging. Is them. They mostly lack confidence in what they are doing. They have in there mind that they will crash or come off the the bike. Confidence makes a big difference. You need to make yourself comfortable and feel confident in what you are doing, and that includes most things in life not just riding a bike. I am not simply saying be confident and try this straight away, but like anything you build yourself up to it, that is when the confidence will come. As any rider will know as you ride more you become more confident and you start to enjoy riding more as you ride more. Thanks for the video, but i mostly Love this video because of the All Black BMW looks great, makes me want one just for the colour. Regards Peter.

Hello Eddie! Your video inspired me to go practice in a parking lot after I got my riding pants on friday. I saw a lot of videos (not necessarily yours) talking about how noobs stick their knees out a bit too far and are not in a good position. So, I stuck my knee out to the point that I thought was enough. I kept practicing my left turns, getting lower and lower - I started noticing I had my head lower than I'd ever been before on a bike. It felt great! So, I kept getting lower, and then I felt my toe kick the ground. "Hmm, maybe I turned my toe out too much or put my foot out too far on the peg", I thought. The next attempt turn, my peg scraped, and I washed out on the bike, lowsiding her at a nice and slow 15-20mph. and cracking my frame slider. Got up 100% okay, scratch free. Checked the bike out - some scratches on the passenger foot pegs, my kick stand and my crankcase. Gear looked a little scratched and my helmet's visor got a couple of small digs in it. A very easy, slow crash and I was just fine. I bought the bike pre-crashed (used fz07 that I had replaced OEM parts onto), so I didn't feel bad. Did a few more low-risk turns and called it a day. Can't wait to practice next weekend! Thanks for inspiring me and making these tutorials.

Thanks and I hope you were in a big open lot and not public roads. Knee dragging is 100% unnecessary for the street

(FWIW, I guess I just didn't position my knee out far enough, in the right position. I did have my hips towards the inside of the turn, but definitely didn't try to stick my knee out. Derp!)

Popped up in my recommended videos and my first thought was oh great another rookie trying to teach other rookies. Was thoroughly impressed by Eddie and his teaching abilities. One thing that I would've mentioned would be to place your hand on your grip like you are opening a door at 3am and your parents are sleeping in the living room. Gentle grip farther down toward the bar end. Its all in the BP, and just take your time with it. On a funny side note dragging knee is harder for short guys 5'7 and under lol they really gotta perfect their BP. Mean while 6'0+ just stick out their leg at a 30 degree lean angle and are grinding their puck lol.

Logo of you performing a severe Counterweight tight turn on a sportbike? ...a really uncommon scene/sight, but epitomises your vision? Actually, I associate you with the GS the most. Maybe three of the same posture, one on a cruiser, one on a sport bike, and the last on the GS...? Three lined up with words - "Shut up and Practice" or "Body Head Bike"

Started training some days ago using your instructions and I'm very close to touch my knee down. Tomorrow morning I'll install new tyres and I'll have more confidence. Although i can't find a parking lot near me (the only one is near a police station,I'm sure the policemen won't like my titanium slip on,decated without silencer) so I'm training at mountain roads with low speed and full gear... Cheers buddy

hey bro, my name is rotciv from nigeria. this is the second video of yours I am watcing now. got a bike last week but didnt have the guts to take it for spin. the sheer size scared the crap out of me. but after I watched the first video, even though it was about swerving, I had enough confidence to go downstairs and move the bike in the parking lot on first gear, even managed to turn a couple of times. thanks for making it look so easy men, you are a rare teacher...
