I had a friend who was like that. He wasn’t broke, we both met at work, we were coworkers who became friends. There was never a mutual attraction, we just like to hang out. We would talk about common interests and our romantic interests. As I got to know him, I discovered just how egotistical, arrogant, and cruel he was. He was a bully at work and he treated the women he dated like crap. He never paid for them, when they went on dates, judged them harshly if they had sex too quickly with him, didn’t show much affection, etc. Why these women put up with him I didn’t understand. I mean yes, he’s a very handsome dude, looks like a certain actor who plays a superhero, but his personality is shit. When I pointed out that I understood these women who dated him, that wanted him to pay because I myself never pay for dates. He gave me a very annoyed, angry look. A man technically doesn’t have to pay for a woman when they go out on a date, but if he’s the one inviting, he should pay. You are taking time out of your schedule to spend time with him. Im currently pregnant with my partner of 4 years, cant work at the moment and dont plan to work untill my baby is at least 2-3 years old, but I still struggle with how to ask him for money 🤦🏽‍♀️ I feel like he should just know and give me, and it makes me so frustrated when he doesnt! My issue is if I keep someone just for money etc it would be impossible to get rid of. I usually get men I am not interested in romantically get obsessed with me and when I tried to cut contact they get to harassment and emotional abuse etc. (and that is where no money were involved at all. Imagine if they had invested in me- it would have been much worse). a wealthy men if he gets like that, it can be a scary situation.
