In this video I talk about how to request something and to command someone to do something. It's a grammar/vocabulary video, where you learn how to do something and I also give you a couple of examples.

Hey Fedor, can you make a video about the aspects for requests and commands? By the way, great channel! You always talk about the topics, which are very interesting!

Aspects won't change really. Meaning that, if in a regular statement you'd use perfective, use perfective in commands as well. If you know aspects good enough, you shouldn't have any problems adjusting them to become commands.

There is at least one more form, where used Infinitive form of verb. For example "Стоять!" - "Stay/ Don't move!" (for example when police chasing someone). Also "Лежать!" - like Get down! (the same example with police) and much more. Also this commands in this form used when you training a pet (dog) new commands.

Hey Fedor you forgot to mention these commands are mostly used in actual conversation between people When giving a command in order to instruct, like a warning sign in a museum, the command would be the full unchanged verb For example: Не трогать! (Do not touch!)

Nice Video, thank you! 👍 What I don't understand yet, is when to use the imperfective/perfective form of the verb to form the command. Could you help me, please?

Thank you So much for this Video, I wanna ask what’s the difference between читай/те and прочитай/те I mean is there a different meaning between Совершенный вид глагола и несовершенный when we talking about Commands ??

Does the plural form of a command (те) also apply to formal commands? "Drink some water, sir" Or does not matter casual or formal because it's й either way ? Thanks
@ilias8972
@ilias8972 4 жыл бұрын
If you're talking to an elder or generally to someone you respect, then you will use the plural form of the verb, in which case you will use "te" in the command.
