Terrific Vaughan, I can just picture all your fish in your dreams chasing after you saying: "more! more! we need more cousins to swim with us". The chattering really adds to the sugar jars and the plates. Thanks for another great breakfast video. Cheers...Freddie

Thanks again Freddie. The sugar creamer video was taken down, I had a Pinky and Perky sound track. I will re post this weekend . We are looking at a high of -16c on Saturday, -22c at night. The first cold snap of the winter. Can't complain at that.

@@Vsmithpots Oh for sure Vaughan and going to use the sponge glazing technique on Monday, tomorrow. Already use a few of your tips and tricks which work fabulous. Using the ferrule on the paintbrush to blend in clay and putting that small piece of clay into inside handle area I do all the time now. You're a gifted teacher! 😁👍

Beautiful showing. I created my first fish last night using the guidance you provided. I was able to remove the paper immediately and let it dry on a canvas covered table. Your generous sharing of knowledge is much appreciated.

Nice bonus footage to see your kiln openings 🤗. I used a slow cool firing on my last firing - first time. My glazes have never looked better. ∆6 with a 45 minute hold at 1750° . I don't fire often and was a bit intimated to program a slow cool, but I'm so glad I did it.

Very exciting to have your international order to Geneva - Congratulations! Your fish are wonderful, and the plates turned out so well. I was just asking myself how you could get the clean edge between the centre and the rim, when you answered my question - sponging the rim. It's very effective 🙂!

I the last video I watched, you were using a small wodden roller with a wooden handle to bevel the edges of your “kiln fillers”. You said you didn’t know what it was originally for. Well, that is an object I am very cumulative with. It is a wallpaper seam roller that is used to make the edges of the paper stick ti the wall an be a match the edges together. However, like you I tend to use any tool that will accomplish a the task at hand. I have enjoyed your video’s so very much! Thank you for doing this for all of us. 🥰

Wow absolutely stunning. I live in Canberra Australia and am researching my environment for the natural flora and fauna. I'll have to search the coast and waterways now for fish species in my region. As I would like to use the natural environment for inspiration, as you have done.

Hi I can hear your kiln warming up in the background. I was wondering if you know at what temp they start giving off fumes.. Thank
@Vsmithpots
@Vsmithpots Жыл бұрын
I have always assumed after about 600F. Before that it is mostly organic matter burning off. That is why I do my firings over night and preheat to 200F .
