How to Glitch Young Players to 90+ Potential in FIFA 19 Career Mode

The Potential Glitch aka The Loan Out Glitch is alive and well in FIFA 19 career mode with a few new wrinkles. Today I teach you how to hack FIFA 19 career mode to make almost any young player have the potential of Neymar. WARNING some might consider this cheating, as you can make a lot of your players overpowered for cheat. But if you think that Rashford deserved 97 potential over his original 88 potential, this is the glitch for you. Hopefully this helps you out.

A few notes: - In FIFA 18 the age up to which they show the potential is also 21. - Watching the value is not a 100% reliable method. It can remain the same while the status changes, both up or down. It can even go up while the status goes down, it's really rare, but it happens to player with potential 80,86, or 90 (so the bounds). It's a good guess, and in most cases it should give you a good indication, but it's not 100% reliable. - I can not verify this as I haven't tried it, but many people claim that the glitch works only once per transfer window per player, meaning that I can increase a player's potential in one window from "showing great to potential" to "an exciting prospect" and then in a second window to "potential to be special". But apparently you cannot use the glitch twice on a player in the same window to get him from "showing great potential" to "potential to be special". This is just a rumour though, I haven't confirmed it myself, nor have I seen a reliable source confirming it. - It is also rumoured that the maximum increase in potential that you can generate this way is +10, meaning that a player with 82 potential can only go up to 92 potential. This also means that young players without any indicator for potential (e.g. 18 year old with rating over 60 and "in the club since 20xx) cannot become special. E.g. if the potential is at 75, the max potential you can reach is 85, so "showing great potential". Again, this is a rumour, as far as I know. Might be confirmed, but not that I would know of. - The reason I mentioned the "over 60" rating in the previous point is that players with a rating below 60 (e.g. youth academy players) always show "in the club since 20xx) until you get them to a rating of 60 and above. Then they will show the correct phrase that indicates the potential. - The glitch does work with players older than 21, but it doesn't reliably show the potential. That being said, since the probability of the value not reflecting the actual growth in potential is rather low (meaning that in most cases if the value goes up, so does the potential), if you use this glitch on a player several times, each time with the value growing after being called back, the probability is really high that you'll reach a potential to be special player. Even if in one or two cases the potential has gone down, it's probably by just -1 or -2, and the amount of times the potential has gone up compensate for that. It's not really clear if there's an age limit to that. Given that players become worse with age, it's possible that it works up to the point where it goes down, or that there's a period where nothing at all changes, or that the potential can change up to the point where the player actually reaches his full potential. It's really unclear, it would help if someone who's playing FIFA on PC could mod the game to indicate the potential next to the player and test several things. - Even if the potential of a player is, e.g. 87, he can still go higher of course. That's obviously reached through training the player once he reached the max potential. The growth during training is slower, but if your player reach his potential at a low age, there's still a lot of years that you can use training to go beyond (PLUS ULTRAAA). Save your training for those players, for goalies, and for players with

Yeah this first bit is true, especially i found for younger players around the 1 mil mark their value could stay the same while the potential still changes. Can make it very difficult to know if a players potential has grown, especially if their potential is below the level that could be upgraded to the next bracket in one loan.

I have experimented a bit (always within the same transfer window), and it didn't seem to make a significant difference. But of course I could be wrong, and there could be a difference that one would only notice when trying it more often.

Actually had a winger on fifa 16 that had a potential of 81 coming out of the academy, I let him go out on loan for 3 seasons because he wasn’t making my squad and by the time he came back from the 3rd loan he had potential to be special and became one of my favorite players I believe he ended at 91 overall. That was when I unintentionally found out about this mechanic

Few errors: in Fifa atleast in 18, at 22 the potential was LOCKED so the best you'd see is "Has that special something" or "Been with club since 20XX". I'll say this much tho, you could give them a little boost to their potential if you did it after 22, such as seen with Martial getting a point.

Hear me out!!! I always recall my players the same day they get loaned out. I've had there value go up by as much as 30 percent. You can also do it more than once per transfer window, 2 or 3 times is the max, but you can always repeat the process by the time the next window rolls around. Note that I costs money to get your players back, so if your with a low budget team keep that in mind. Also keep in mind you can do this with any young player. I took a youngster with 74 max potential, and made him grow to 90+

You've used completely the wrong logic on the Martial loan glitch. A players value goes up when their overall goes up, so their potential could actually go down while their value goes up if they grow in overall. In this case you have to do the loan glitch multiple times to get a range of values so you can know what would represent an increase or decrease in potential. Then keep doing it until you reach the highest value you got. It takes some time and can be annoying. It's much easier if they dont go up in overall because as long as the value is above the original value then their potential will be the same. Also it's always been 21 and under where they show potential. You are wrong about only being able to glitch them once per transfer window. You can do it as many times as you get offers for loans, although i tend to wait a week at least in game before I recall them. For some reason it seems to work better, or at least used to. You also cant get a player to 98 or 99 potential, thats impossible. Max is about 93/94 in previous fifas. Maybe 95 now with the current potentials. But to get to 98/99 an insane amount of training is needed. Also another point to make is that potentials can change a maximum of 3 points per loan glitch, so it can take time to figure out with value represents the biggest increase in overall.

If the overall jumps +1 as well as his value, then it's most likely only his value grown thank's to the jump in overall, but no potential has changed... if the jump in value is high (like 30% or more), then his potential most likely did go up...

Martials increase in valuable is due to his rating going up, it may not be because his potential went up, or it could be both, but the more his value increases the higher his potential, so 15% would not be much of a potential upgrade if you also have a +1 rating. I can’t believe I’m actually going to get this game, with basically no changes to career mode, the only thing I play at home, but yeah going to have to start a PSG career mode after the January transfer window is over, move mbappe to striker, bring in dembele (once they give him his 92+ pot back) on the right and Vinicius to back up Neymar. Saul, tonali and aouar and hernadez (from atletico). Also, get donnarumma, umtiti and de ligt. And last but not least TAA. When I buy them, I’ll make sure all their values increase significantly by saving before I have to accept or reject them and that will be the best career mode you could possibly have. If I can trade Verrati for pogba, yeah. And that there is the highest potential and youngest team you can put together.

I don't know if it's different in Fifa 19 but typically what I've seen with the loan glitch is that even though it displays different potential on their status their overall eventually is just the same. Like I've seen 69 rated players at 20 display potential to be special and obviously never reach 90 plus both loan glitched and academy players so just because their status changes, I don't think it actually influences the overall in the future. That's just my personal experience it may work for others

I did the same glitch with Adrian Ortola by accident I loaned him out to Deportivo Alaves sold Cilessen spent my transfer budget and Then ter Stegen went and got himself injured so I got Ortola back from Alaves and his rating went up by +1 and he had a 30% value increase as well I thought it was just because he was getting first team playing time but after watching this video I know what actually happened

No. Although each player does eventually hit a wall in terms of potential. For example, you won't be able to get a 68 rated 21 year old to has potential to be special as there is no way for the game to be able to grow the player's stats fast enough for that to happen

Yes. The only reason you recall the player is to do it multiple times per window. The potential is supposed to either go down, go up or stay the same when a loan ends.

If you went into negotiations when you got a loan offer for that player you could negotiate a short term loan, which costs much less to recall the players from. So as long as you're a decent sized club it's fine.

Dalot's max is 85, but he's an 87 for me. Trent A-A has a potential of 89, but he's a 90. Rashford currently has a 90 potential, but he's a 92 for me. Fosu-Mensah is I do believe an 82 potential, but he's an 84. Pulisic has a potential of 86, but he's a 90 for me. Honestly didn't even know about this glitch until now. I guess it was just luck for me.

If you altered the original formation and then during the game switched the gameplan to something other than balanced then it will change the formation to whatever the team you were playing as has for the gameplan you changed it to.

This year, the gameplans very defensive, defensive, balanced, attacking, and high attacking have all own formations and player instructions, meaning that you have to change the formation for each individual gameplan. If you press L2 (for XBox that's the left back trigger), you can access those other plans. What's also annoying is that if all your gameplans have the same formation (but different indications), then if you switch two players that are on the field and then change the gameplan, the players switch back. You can fix that by using a third player on the bench. So if players X and Y are on the field and you want to switch them, you take a third player Z, and do the following switches: X Z, X Y, YZ. That works because substituting from the bank covers all gameplans.
