I’m glad you used the matte finish so I could see how it looks on the darker spots, I usually do glossy. But, the Harry Potter one I just finished is soooo dark you can barely see what it is with the glare I’m thinking the matte will make it easier to actually see the completed picture but I was definitely worried to do that without knowing what it would look like first! LOVE the foam board idea!! I always did poster board but it’s so flimsy! The foam is definitely better, I might not even frame with the foam it could just go right up on the wall! Frames are so expensive! And I’m struggling to find a 32x24 frame

The foam does seem to warp a little so need to get it flat somehow while drying or get it in a frame to flatten it out completely

Is it the Theory11 one? Have ypu used anything to glue it yet?

anyone know how to keep the board from warping when the glue dries? i run into this problem alot
@AndrewRockYoutube9 ай бұрын
I think the best option would be laying it flat in between flat boards of some form. Beyond that I think you could limit the glue quantity and it might evaporate less with less warping.

Would a water based glue work?

how do you mount the final product?
@AndrewRockYoutube Жыл бұрын
Easiest way is to measure the dimensions and find a frame to put it in. The glass front highlights the puzzle very well. Otherwise, you could try to put some sort of mounting on the back but I would suspect it will be too heavy to support it effectively. Let me know if that helps.
@vikramsaraph4499 Жыл бұрын
@@AndrewRockKZbin I ended up using 3M command strips to mount to the wall. My puzzle was small enough to not be too heavy so this worked fine.

I wonder if it is not easier to put glue on the foam board before sliding the puzzle on to it. This way the puzzle will be glued to the foam and then you can do an extra glue layer on top
@AndrewRockYoutube11 ай бұрын
Think either works as long as there’s enough glue for it to be even and get in the cracks adequately

Does glue become transparent after drying? Or will there be residue left? I am bit worried about smudging my puzzle
@AndrewRockYoutube Жыл бұрын
Any glue will leave some residual as compared to how it originally looks. The gloss leaves a shiny finish. If you’re worried you could try just coating the back only and not doing the front. I am pretty sure that would be enough to hold it in place.

what's the thickness of the board you are using?
@AndrewRockYoutube Жыл бұрын
To be honest. Not really sure. It was the standard size poster board. Picked it up from Walmart. I found that after it dried it did warp significantly . So something sturdier similar to the back of a picture frame would probably be a better option. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I like that pokemon puzzle. Where did you get it?
@AndrewRockYoutube7 ай бұрын
I believe it would have been Target or Walmart. I could not find it on either of their websites, but here is a link to it on Amazon (amzn.to/3KourN0).

Does the glue yellow over time? I was really surprised to see you and other people smearing glue on the face. I was thinking I’d have to flip it and apply glue to the back without it bleeding through to the front
@AndrewRockYoutubeАй бұрын
Not that I noticed. Think the main think is using the right glue. Feel like Elmer’s would yellow with time.

Yes. Quite the large puzzle convinced me to get the puzzle keeper after that for sure so it doesn’t have to sit out the entire time.
