How To Glue Broken Ceramics And Porcelain In this The Ceramic Repair Studio video, I will be showing you how I repair a broken arm on a piece of continental china by using the correct slow curing Araldite glue, and how to place broken peices together.
Join me and start learning the skills of ceramic, porcelain and pottery repair and restoration.
We will be covering equipment, adhesives, bonding, gluing, filling, sanding, painting and airbrushing.
We all have a broken piece of pottery/porcelain lurking in our cupboards which we can all recycle and reuse.
I have been a ceramic restorer for many years after training in Oxford, England and would love to share my experience with you.

Thank you for the guidance! Just broke mom's favorite mug... Thought I should mention, Araldite currently makes 4 varieties of their adhesive, 3 of which set in 5 mins. or less, & 2 of which are labeled as being " *high transparency* ". I'll be picking up the Crystal one (Amazon) that sets in 5 mins. If I can work with contact cement, I can work with 5 minute epoxy (so goes my logic). Good luck fellow clumsy & artsy people!

"lockout" I did not know of that term, but I've certainly experienced it! I'm researching how to repair a dinner plate from my grandmother's china that is broken clean in two. It looks like you are using epoxy? Although you are not using that word. In my understanding, that is 2 part glue that needs mixing to activate it. Thank you for your video.

You are giving very good tips on how to proceed. Thank you so much. I am in the USA, I am wondering where to get titanium oxide.

I have 2 questions for you. 1. What do you consider slow release? I see Araldite in a 5 min., 30 min. And 90 min. dry time. 2. Is Titanium oxide and titanium dioxide interchangeable? I search for titanium oxide but when I go to the websites I actually find titanium dioxide.

The "standard" slow setting Araldite is the 90 minute one and you want titanium dioxide. I have been restoring ceramics since the early 1980s.

I love your videos and appreciate all the information you provide. I have a high gloss porcelain bunny that is flaking paint. Is there a product that I can apply to seal up the object and prevent further flaking? I am in the USA. Thank you for your help
