I think it came out nicely! I've never, in my 45 years doing this sh*t, had to do two-into-one like this, but would follow pretty much the same processes as you. One thing, however; when you were trying to get your mating surfaces? I would've found a way to hold the two doors in position, then simply ran a saw kerf straight down the middle, hopefully cleaning the paint off both sides and leaving a perfect glueup!

I had that though during the process but felt like I could remove less material by cutting each door separately BUT now that I’ve gone through the whole process I could have done it the way you are mentioned and just spaced the doors by 1/32. Then it’d have been one cut and done and the mating surfaces would match perfectly. Hopefully I’ll never have to do this again 😂.

What glazing putty are you using? Never seen any that's 2 part or that color.

I may have miss spoken. Now that I’m looking back it is “all purpose putty” not specifically glazing putty that I used. Thanks for asking.

why wouldnt you just fill in the framing to except a standard size door ? so much easier and cheaper.

The issue isn’t that the doors aren’t standard. The issue is the style of door itself is discontinued needing a custom order. The opening fits a 36” door.
