I’ve made a lot of knives, and enjoy taking pains with each step of the knife building process. I haven’t even seen your finished handle…but you do your handle builds so much more thoughtfully than I’ve been doing them that I’m just taking notes while watching these videos. Well done, amigo, and THANK YOU for your shares!

I'm a beginner hobbyist knifemaker so thanks for the pro tips. I especially like the light wipe with WD-40 at the front end of the scales and thong tube after removing excess epoxy. Thx again

Hi Ben, your series of vids has been very helpful, just getting the procedures sorted, I' m making my knives but have been struggling with some aspects,I see now that the Gflex is the glue to use, I was interested to know if you have any storage issues with that glue, do you have sealed caps on the containers?
@BenOrford2 жыл бұрын
Well I am pleased you have enjoyed the series. Well with the epoxy try to keep it out of sunlight and a regular temperature. It does have a use by date so ideally if you only use a little bit buy the smaller containers so it will not go out of date. I tend to pour mine into sauce bottles as buy it in big containers but ideally have caps to stop the air getting in. Hope that helps. cheers Ben

Hi Ben and Lois, love your videos and admire your desire to share your learning. Recently been taken by the Mora Classic as a general purpose knife. I think although they look great, most 'bushcraft' knives are probably overkill for what they're used for. Given most Moras and similar will outlast most of us, have you considered making a more basic knife? Or, is it easier to just make the now traditional full-tang knife? All the best, and thanks again for sharing. Pete.

What is that thing layer of liner made from?
@BenOrford2 жыл бұрын
In this instance it was vulcanised fibre which is a gasket material but I also use G10 too. Either works well I prefer the super flat nature of the G10 and you can get it in various thickness and Colours. Hope that helps. Many thanks cheers Ben
