This is definitely a better method because when you use that stocking cap… and it starts rising… that’s what messes up the closure so soon and you gotta keep going back for repair

Haven’t had a sew-in in almost 9 years, been doing silk press for a long time then just been having it braided back and doing wigs for a couple years now. Taught myself everything about wig application and it’s been cool but I swear the glue just isn’t working anymore doesn’t last at all and I’m a dancer so I can’t have that lifting and looking crazy. Came here looking to learn how to do a glue less sew in method myself 🙌🏽 will try this also where can I get good quality bundles/closures (and lace) that don’t cost an armband leg?

Thank you for your comment! This is a 1 part closure sewin. If she wanted multiple parts, I would cornrow straight back. The clients scalp shows through the closure for a natural part. I don’t like to use the cap method because it’s easier for the client to maintain the style at home without it.

Straight back but my hair is soft and I was concerned that maybe I needed an anchor braid going across the front to secure the closure because it’s sliding back. Any suggestions? Thank you 🥰. Sew along the front of your cornrows underneath the closure. Use an adhesive spray for the front if you’re not comfortable with actual adhesive.

Good question! I recommend a wig band at night, an adhesive spray such at got2b or Ebin lace adhesive spray (spray on your fingertip and apply as needed to keep lace flat), a hot comb and a bonnet!

hd lace is the thinnest lace available and will give the best possible melt. transparent lace is exactly that it's lace that's transparent in color. generally transparent lace is more affordable. as long as you have foundation to tint it and good technique it will do you just as well

Oh nooo you shaved it? 😭. Transparent is for fair skin tones and HD is better for more melanin tones. HD is truly the best in my opinion.
