Kudos! U have the best method.. I saw one woman who sewed the frontal down.. but that didn’t allow for free parting. I saw another woman who sewn an elastic band that wraps around the whole thing, looked like a good idea but I didn’t want to feel uncomfortable by cutting off the blood supply in my head.. sewing the elastic to the braid seems like a winner. Thanks for sharing!

Dear everyone, I mention “African shops” because in Indianapolis, there’s a chain of braiding salons owned by Africans and their shops are called “African Braiding Shops.” I understand I am African American, but I don’t identify as African - I identify as American, African American. I understand Africa is in my blood and ancestry, but I am not African. I am American, African American.
@joelleaudrey60746 жыл бұрын
@xoxol0l uuuuuh No. I completely agree with what you say Destiny, but I completely disagree with you Xoxo. I am African, and in no way do I feel like we get treated equally. Especially when looking for jobs. First off, we are all black. Now imagine what being black with a different last name and an accent can do to/for you. And there are malls in Africa, and Africans sometimes feel like they are better than Black American bcz of this thinking like u just had: " where is the mall?" The mall is in downtown. Take a taxi and it will take u to the mall. Honestly, I don't see a big difference with the lifestyle i had bsck than here. It's the mindset and how cultured you have that determines your survival. I I don't think I am any better than anyone, but lets be honest, some Americans (black or white) in general are very ignorant when it comes to culture outside of their borders.
@Univers4306 жыл бұрын
@xoxol0l reading you is very offensive. When I was in Africa I use to say that my brothers and sisters are in america,not because I had blood -related in here but because as a black person, I consider any black around the world as my "relative"..then I came in america, I got really disapointed as how black "americans" react toward Africans and how hatred reigns in the midst of black community...What I feel the most is not anger ,but alot of compassion,for no matter how long a stone will remains in the water it will never become a crocodile.
@Univers4306 жыл бұрын
@xoxol0l none african get treated better than any american. It depends on the comportment one display...many africans come here with a dream and they work hard to achieve them,and get notice by the media ;while many americans (not every american) prefer to do drugs, and any other criminal things...in my english class,my english teacher who is an african american always said that African did better than American in his class....and he said that certain black american like to remain in their confort zone. What I am saying is not attributed to every black american, the same way what you said is not for every african...people who discriminated me the most in America are black American.... I never got angry,I felt pitifully for them.

So, I'm jealous of the edges you have, everyone's edges lay flat and gorgeous but mine do not, I have wonky longish strands that crinkle curl at the edge, and nothing I do seems to work. I brush them down, but my hair won't stay, nothing short of glue and even then, it'll crinkle and look like a really bad lace glue edge. You have very pretty hair, skin and eyes omg! Thanks for the video, you give inspiration to the rest of us that need a lil help figuring it all out.
