Excellent video, 9axx. Way back, I used to like bounties. Then I figured out they gave so little benefit. Once bounties actually mean something, I think I’ll enjoy them again.

@@mattb6646 I guess what I mean is that they're typically so incredibly loot inefficient. Sure, you can use mats for rerolling, but that has typically been a pretty low priority compared to so much else. In other seasons, blasting 90s with only half ancient gear for paragons and loot and gem increases makes so much more sense, and rerolling only really matters if you're making more serious pushes. It's one of the final steps in gearing up, and really skippable for more casual play. Meanwhile, I don't really hate playing them, and used to level up by doing bounties (until figuring out it's super slow). But the rewards just aren't worthwhile. But between the Paragon cap and the season theme, it'll make more sense than it has in ages.

I always did them in groups makes them much faster... that one thing alone is deterring me from trying the ssf mode this season. I used to do ssf in PoE but you could choose to switch to trade league at anytime, and not be aloud back into ssf

​@natel7382 do the 5 for your season journey and then you'll never need to do bounties again this season. The diabolical fissures pop up really often and have anything upto 15 levels whoch gives 60 of each material. Minimum you'll get for a fissure is 20 which is way faster than bounties. Really looking forward to it!

one important detail is that when you enter the vision of enmity theres a chance additional fissures are created inside the vision "The Visions are quite unstable and have the potential to produce additional Fissures after enemies are dispatched inside-keep an eye out for these opportunities to maximize your chance of earning useful gear." I'm pretty sure this means you can enter a portal inside a portal but it may be a low chance :D I'm 99% sure thats what it means, but please correct me if I'm wrong

This is all good advice, but some changes needed for hardcore. Example: I would not start in on petrified screams trying to get those to 125 (or more) with your first character! I always wait until I have another character built (with gear and mats runs from my main) BEFORE I start doing hardcore screams. We do not want to start over from scratch because something gotcha in there.... I have most gear augmented and full set + keys + mats before I jump in one of those. YMMV, of course.

With my luck I'm going to swim in VoE's. That ring of Royal Grandeur has the tendency to drop after dozens of bounty-runs in Act 1. Sure is a nice change of doing content as I experienced it on the PTR. Now I just need to decide if I go for Witch Doctor, knowing I wont be playing the class for maybe forever, or Necromancer. Good luck to all the pusher and who knows maybe I get my name on the leaderboard as well.

It's actually quite fun how huge nerf in D3 looks like a lot of fun, and lesser nerfs in D4 make me play something else. Please, Blizzard, bring D3 team to help you with D4.

to be fair, the nerfs that resulted from losing Altar isn't actually fun. What was fun was the paragon farming finally being eliminated, and that is only "fun" because it was extremely unfun trying to compete on the leaderboard against botters/nolifefarmers.

I think the devs are really going to take this opportunity to balance everything out like you said in S30, balance the Altar, balance the sets so I'm gonna push some off-meta builds in SSF to help facilitate this because why not? Not getting anywhere near 150 this time. I guess it's fair because last season they hyped it and delivered as the blow off, this season they did disclaim it wouldn't be that powerful.

I don't think getting the full set is enough to speed run GR70 LOL... it's obviously going to be easier for certain classes than others. my wizard with the full firebird set barely makes it through GR65 without constantly dying and I've got about 350 paragon. I can push GR70 with effort, but it's not gonna be a sub-5 min speed run with no deaths lol

Agree. I usually build a speed build (DH or Monk) so I can do those bounties fast as possible. No screwing around with mobs, picking things up, etc. Just get it done then lather, rinse, repeat.

Thanks for your video D4 orphan here. I watched your video on augmenting gear but you said it was outdated due to Whispers of Atonement. I have a lot of them at 125 and don't know how to use them. I learnt Fishing and dream rifts new from the video very helpful. The season overview was very helpful and also as a first time player of D3 what has changed form previous season. I like the paragon cap as a fair system too and putting points into one or two stats. I have full set mostly ancients but want to augment gear know and guessing the whispers of atonement level up gems for augments quickly or am i WRONG?

am i one of those few people who think p800 is too low ? seriously even i can do that in 2 days ... then what ? lvl up gems, takes 1-2 more days, then push 1-2 more days, then you're done with season ... i was kind of enjoying farming some paragons, usually i was going up to 2000-3000 each season, now ? i really don't like this change, 800 is way too low !!!! i guess season 28 was my last season

i am curious ..did blizz change the no.s for mobs and GR's for how you can defeat them or did they raise how hard the characters hit ? Because now you can't put thousands of paragon into main stats health etc ,, So you wont be as strong as prior seasons ?

The paragon changes slightly increase power for some builds (relative to if they didn't change paragon at all and just capped it at 800)

I hope (and also assume) its gonna be like this: u join a group, u go look for a VOE rift, u all go there, u clear the rift, and u reset the game. its similar to how we used to farm goblins or goblin rifts or xp pools i would say.

This season is absoulety terrible for crusader SSF if you are considering playing it DONT. Invoker thorns "build" is literally hold right click and are extremely squishy. Good luck in farming RROG can spend hours doing solo bounties to not get it. Blizz actively killing a game that could be profitable, waited 29 seasons and still couldnt get it right.
