Well....the thing is yes......direct stock picking us much more risky....it is for for those who want much higher returns for higher risks....but if you don't want higher risk...you can just invest in nifty top 20 companies......the risk of those collapsing us very less.....and you will get around 12-14% of CAGR

We try to overthink and that is why we take unnecessary risks. Diversify and also invest in real assets like gold and Real estate. Yes, also in RDs and FDs. In hypothetical situation, it really sounds nice to hear wonderful news about stock market returns but in reality, it is the most difficult place to earn money. No stock will grow at 25% for 20 yrs Even if you find such company it will be a small or micro cap and you'll be taking lots of risk. Better than that we can get 13-15% returns at reasonable risk. And can get a bigger corpus by investing a larger amount
