Rode 80+ miles on a fixed gear (not single speed) and had a Brooks B17 Narrow in leather that was already considerably worn in and had no need for bibs. Ass felt good enough to keep pushing 60+mi days afterwards too. It was across Europe and I didn't have the money for new wheels and tires so I was rocking 23s on some gravel and cobblestone here and there. Ideally I would of put on some 28s but hey it was still a blast.

I don't know about the part about clipless being 30% more efficient. I've read some studies that say otherwise (unless you are sprinting). Either way, rad video and keep it up!

Interestingly, whenever anyone tries to quantify flat vs clipless, the results are confounding. Either the flat win or clipless are almost no advantage. I believe clipless are more efficient but only by a small amount.

I am working on an edit right now about affordable gravel bikes. The one I tested is $600 and not a bad option. I highly suggest used bike shops for an affordable option.
