Hi, My name is Jetske and my boyfriend is from Uganda. On this channel I take you with me trough my life how we will live in two countries: The Netherlands and Uganda.
Almost daily I get DM's with the quistion: How to go to the Netherlands as an Ugandan. I made an hones video about it.
NOTE: This video has been made before the latest elections in the Netherlands. A party who is against immigration is the biggest winner from that election. That means that he doesnt want international students, workers or refugees. I have no idea what or how is going to change. And also not how long it will takes. The only thing I know is that if this go on and other party's do agree we have a way more strict system and its harder to live here for example with a double passport.

i think the requirements make sense in the context of Netherlands if it was easy half of us would be in Netherlands and that would be bad for the Netherlands government

Thankfully unthinkable today, but only a few hundreds years ago peasants (so ordinary people) cannot move freely between towns and local regions... Only a few decades ago you cannot move freely between European countries.... One day our great- great-grand children hopefully will enjoy the right of free movement around the world in much more inclusive and less xenophobic world.

Have you already bought or rented a house in the Netherlands? Maybe then you understand why it is so hard to come to the country with the highest population density. And a lot of people abused their tourist visa.

Well I am Dutch and I live in the Netherlands. At this moment me and my boyfriend are trying to get him here. Which is indeed a complicated process but we are managing it.
